I am looking at booking a room on the monorail for 2 nights before we leave on a cruise next year. It will be me, DH, and an 18 month old. I am doing monorail resort bc we will be going to MK with our 1 day ticket, and it is for my 30th bday. I like the idea of contemp because of the walkway, and also bc it is cheapest, but I found that a studio MK view is cheaper than a contemp MK view. Besides the room being slightly smaller, what are some reasons why or why not you wouldn't chose the BLT studio over contemp?

I haven't stayed at either but I have stayed in other studios and since you just need the 1 bed, assuming the baby will be in the pack n play, it may seem like more room with the couch not pulled out. Plus you get the kitchenette with microwave.

I have stayed in both CR MK view and a BLT studio MK view. The CR stay was with 5 in the room, the BLT was with 2. The studio seemed a lot smaller than the CR room. I liked the view of the fireworks better at CR. The parking lot didn't bother me although people mention it. IIRC, there are MK views at BLT that are lower floors where people didn't like the view. The walk isn't very different between the two to MK so I wouldn't even consider that an issue. I'd probably book the less expensive, make a room request for high floor and keep my fingers crossed.

Will the kitchenette be of any benefit to you with the little one? If so, then I'd go with BLT.

BLT Studio is much smaller (as stated) but is a bit closer to the MK walkway and it has a zero entry pool.

CR is more convenient to the monorail & dining options (just hop on the elevator) and will offer you much more space for the little to move around.

I did read that the studios were about 50sq ft smaller so I am concerned about that, but I figure it is only for 2 nights and we will only be in the room to sleep and nap. I like the idea of a fridge bc of keeping milk for baby, but besides that, I'm not sure what else we will use the kitchenette for much else as we aren't going to be spending much time in the room. I was thinking it more than anything because it is cheaper. I'm thinking making the high room request is definetly a must:thumbsup2

I defeintly want a fridge bc of having milk for night sippys and morning sippys, but besides that I don't plan on having groceries bc we won't be in the room more than to sleep and nap. I really like the idea of the zero entry pool as I am thinking we will be using that on arrival day and maybe during afternoon break since we will be there in July. Can BLT use CR pools and vice versa?

BLT guests can use the CR pool, but only BLT guests can use the BLT pool.

The BLT pool is gated and needs a room key to enter. There is mini frig in the CR rooms if you need one for milk.
