Hey folks,

My fiance wears Contacts but is wondering what to do with Discovery Cove and the water parks - can you wear googles or what do people recommend. She really can't do without them so any advice would be ace.

:thumbsup2

I think lots of people do wear their contacts but I was worried about losing them so wear an old pair of prescription sunglasses. They are fine with you wearing the sunglasses for the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove, they just recommend attaching one of those glasses strings to be on the safe side. I did this and kept it on when we were at Typhoon Lagoon and was very glad I did as several people near me in the wave pool lost their sunglasses.

Discovery Cove have a selection of prescription snorkel masks for her to borrow if she wants to go snorkelling ~ if she takes a note of her prescription then they will match it as close as they can, otherwise she can just try a few on until she finds one to suit. :)

i just wore mine (day and night contacts). as long as you dont keep you eyes open when ur underwater i think its fine (although prob not recommended by optitions who say not to wear them in the shower but never caused me any problems). I guess the only other option would be goggles-but just closing my eyes when i go under has been fine for me. What kind of contacts does she have? If they are throw away everyday or clean every night I especially wouldnt worry x x

I buy some daily disposable ones for holidays. that way it doesn't matter if they get a bit of water on them
