Is there any way to directly contact the Wilderness Lodge front desk via email or phone? I had something shipped there during my stay but it ended up not being delivered until I got back home -.- However my parents are at WDW now and could technically pick it up, so I want to let them know but don't know how to reach them...

Unfortunately, there's no way to contact the front desk of any Disney resort directly. I would call the reservation number and ask to speak to someone in guest services to see if they can help or at least direct you to someone who can. Good luck!

Disney is also very vigilant about letting any number that can be used externally to reach desks from hitting the internet. Any number people would give you would be wrong or out of date.

I agree with the advice to get in touch with guest services. They have the capability to call the front desk. They won't connect you to the desk (or they didn't the time I was calling with a direct question for a restaurant), but they will take the information and questions, have you hold the line, and call the resort. Sorry your package got lost! Mine did too recently staying at Pop Century. We had a split stay, and it didn't arrive until we had moved from Pop to Wilderness Lodge. It was annoying in a way that it finally arrived. By then I had purchased everything we had mailed ahead from Amazon Prime Now. So now I had extra of everything and ended up needing to pay to ship a package home, which wasn't in the original plan. It was all stuff we needed to use/have/eat during our stay.

I would have them go to the front desk in person and explain the situation.

I agree with this. Even if you called guest services and guest services then contacted the front desk, there is no guarantee the CM they speak to will convey any info to anyone else there. I would just ask your parents to go to WL and speak to Bell Services. If you had something shipped there, it's most likely in Bell Services' storage area.

Just wondering -although cell phones really make this question obsolete I suppose - what if someone at home needed to get in touch with a guest in an emergency? There's no way to call the resort to leave them a message or reach their room?

Sure - you’d just call the published phone number for their resort, which would connect you to the call center. You’d say “I’d like to speak with Mr. John Smith, who’s a guest of the resort,” and they’ll connect you to the guest’s room. If the guest doesn’t answer, you can leave them a voice mail. They’ll see a flashing light on the phone, indicating that they have a message.

In this case, the call center is filling the old role of the hotel operator. They're just not physically located at the resort.
