We just came back from staying at CBR in the North Trinidad building. While waiting for the buses we noticed some construction what looks to be a resort. Please tell me that it is not the Pop Century resort and let it be something else because if it was the Pop Century it will be an eye sore. Staying at the CBR made you feel like you were really in the caribbeans which we really liked. And if that is the Opo Century that will just take away the magic of staying at the CBR.

I'll bet it's the new Bonnett Creek Resort, by Fairfield. We drove thru CBR in August and I was surely surprised that we could see so much of the construction . I'll bet there will be some evergreens transplanted to screen the view. I have heard that there will be high rises in that resort, we'll surely be able to see those. Only the rooms with parking lot views will be able to the other resorts.. could we be seeing some "preferred rooms" at this moderate?

When we passed the CBR on our August trip there were several construction signs for Bonnet Creek resort near to the CBR. I guess that is what you could see.

I was in Trinidad South in October, and the construction crane and the new building of this Bonnet Creek Resort is clearly visable, and very close! I can't imagine how Disney could totally hide that new resort from CBR! :(

You can clearly see Pop Century from CBR, too, especially those bowling pins! But it is nowhere near as close as Bonnet Creek.

From most of the resort you can't see the new resort being built. CBR is still beautiful.
