Will be at Wilderness Lodge at the end of June, how bad is the construction? Didn't know about it when I booked the room.

just do a search for Wilderness Lodge and construction and you will see lots of threads on this topic.

I haven't been there to see it, but it is supposedly extensive. Still doesn't bother many people, so it depends upon how much construction you tolerate, how much you plan to be at the resort, how long and often will you be in theme parks, where your room is located, etc.

Good luck!

I had reservations at VWL for the first week in April. Got letter from Disney notifying me of construction. Decided to change reservation to BLT. While at WDW went to WL to get a idea of where the cabins are being constructed and extent of construction activity. Noise did not appear to be an issue in doors and one could navigate around the pool area ok. Construction was along the lake shore to the north and east of the existing buildings and was pretty extensive, meaning lots of heavy equipment and workers, etc. I think it would have been ok, but ok with decision to switch and wait until construction is over and not have any regrets. Work activity can vary substantially and I may have visited on a slow day or there could be more/less noise or commotion during different phases of construction.

We were just there June 10-13. We've stayed there before since it's our home resort for DVC. These were "bonus days" on the end of an existing trip, so we didn't mind that there was construction. It is definitely extensive, but it didn't bother us at all. Never heard construction noise and the only thing we could see of the construction from our villa was a lift, but never in use. If this is your first/only time at WL you won't get the true "feel" of the whole resort. However, if you know you'll be back, take advantage of the discounts they are offering now!!
