Construction at the Disneyland Hotel?

Hello, everyone. A friend of mine is planning a DL trip for 3 days, 4 nights in mid-February for her family of 5. She wanted to stay at the DL Hotel but was reading reviews on TripAdvisor about loud construction and unfriendly cm's at the hotel. Does anyone know anything about this? Is there another hotel you would recomend over the DL Hotel? They want something with close proximity to the parks, preferably walkable, with a great pool area. Thank you!
