:( :(

So does anyone else out there have a partner that works for Consignia and if so did they see the news on BBC1 tonight - oh what doom and gloom - anyone could have told those in charge that it would be a waste of money changing the name of the Post Office - everyone I know still calls it the Post Office and that's where I tell people that DH works, but for how much longer......
After 22 years I'm sure that he's ready for a change, but will he get a new job, I only work part time a barely earn the minimum wage, so will we cope. I'm sure we will but this year might be our last WDW visit for a while - unless we emigrate!

My Daughter works in a post office and she is not unduly worried, but then she works in a main office not a sub post office.I would think myself that if they close any it would be sub post offices not main ones.
But we will have to see what happens.

........ I didn't see the news but I really hope your DH's job is safe.
The name change was a very costly major blunder. 'Consignia' would be more suited to one of the energy companies and even then.........
I can just imagine that morale within the company must be so low right now - I hope everything works out all right for you and your DH.

So sorry to hear about the job losses at the PO :(

'Consignia' what an absolute meaningless name! Whoever thought up that one should be shot. The 'Royal Mail' and 'Post Office' aren't just business names, they are British institutions, known and respected throughout the world. Why change it!

Couldn't agree with you more Tim! :)

Snookhams - sorry to hear about DH's job - hope things work out for you :)
