Considering renting for the first time... Do I understand things correctly?

I do hope that this is the right place to post this question.

I came across a point calculator earlier that showed me just how much I would be saving if I considered renting points and that started me on investigating things. Before I talk about this in depth with DH I was hoping someone could verify a few things for me.

1) Even though I am going through someone elses points I still get a reservation number that links on MDE

2) I still get to make adrs at 180+10 and FP+ at 60

3) Most likely any reservation I make will be all sales final

4) The perk for the Disney Visa that allows 6 months no intrest does not apply here because you are paying a 3rd party source and not directly to disney.

5) Park Tickets would need to come from another source and would have to be then linked by me into MDE.

Two things that I can't see to find are:

a) If free dining is released for my dates would that be able to be attached to the reservation? {I assume not}

b) Is there anything else critical that I am overlooking here?

Thanks in advance for any who can help a poor confused soul out.

1) yes
2) yes
3) yes
4) yes
5) yes

a) no - free dining requires a full price room. You can book a DVC resort through CRO (at full price) and 2 day tickets and get the free dining.

b) limited housekeeping depending on the number of nights. 7 nights or less - trash & towel service on day 4. 8 nights or more - full cleaning on day 4, trash & towel on day 8. You can purchase additional services while you are there.

DVC studios (except at OKW) are a Queen bed and a full pullout. (OKW Studios are two queens). If you want two real beds.....

Not only non-cancellable, but assume you can't change - you generally can't move things back a week or add a day or switch resorts or views.

For the very best chance to get what you want.....know what resort you want, look for an owner of those points and be ready to book at 11 months out.
