Considering DVC

I just order the info from DVC to look into it. When those of you that are in DVC go to WDW, do you buy your park tickets separately?? We're going in Aug, but say we became DVC members, could we still get Ultimate Park Hopper passes with the Silver Add on package?? Just curious because we enjoy those options and make the most of them everytime we've used them.
So if we because DVC members in the future, we'd like to make the most of our dollar with WDW. Thanks in advance!

yes you can get UPH and you can get a 10% discount on them as members.

We travel to WDW often enough that APs are the most cost effective admission media. Then add the AP discounts on top for dining and entertainment. Possibly an AP code room at the Poly or AKL on occaision.

We go twice a year so I get annual passes for wife and I but 7 day for the kids so we can build up those plusses.

We buy Annual Pases.. we go for 2 weeks each year and time our trips so we get 4 weeks on an AP.. much more cost effecrive plus if we have any long weekend type trips we can get great AP rates at the resorts..
