Hi! My husband and I are considering buying and looking into options. We were looking on the DVC website, but it is only showing pricing for Rivera and Aulani. Are these the only resorts available? If not, how do we get the pricing of others?

What UY did you want? We wanted October and they wouldn't do it because I wanted the 2020 points too. He said furthest out he could go was June and they wouldn't budge. I ended up putting an offer in on a resale and we are in ROFR now.

We wanted October as well. Guide advised that only April and June were available. We told him October fit our current travel habits best and he re-contacted us within minutes saying he got the "approval" for October UY. I doubt we would have purchased direct (at least at the moment) had we not been able to get exactly what we wanted. Thankfully he came through and we didn't have to back off our purchase again.

We are in the process of buying a resale AKL-Dec UY. I have also been talking to a guide about possibly buying CCV to get our blue card. The guide was great at first but definitely worked hard to push me to RIV. After looking at the incentive RIV is definitely more attractive. I called back ready to buy, my only requirement was a December use year. He said no way! He said they can only do February. I said that's not going to work due to our AKL resale, he suggested I call him back IF it closes and he will ask for the exception. I found this really hard to believe. RIV is not flying off the shelf and you have a person, credit card in hand ready to make the sale and you say NO??? I don't get it.

They don’t want to give you a Dec UY because they’d have to give you the 2020 points, and guides are saying they can’t unless you already have that UY because of the backlog of points in the system. That’s why they are telling you to call back if and when that resale closes. Tell them you want to vacation in January, that will end a Feb UY discussion, but then they may try to push you to June.
