Considering buying resale contract

When you say as of today, is that a recent change or that was part of the original PVB association terms and conditions I missed?

So, if I purchased PVB next week (unlikely scenario but I am monitoring resale prices) it is possible I would be locked out of the tower. My family needs 1 and 2 bedrooms.

I thought the only restricted resorts are RIV and VDH.

They have not announced whether Poly tower will be a new resort, like RIV and VDH, or it will be added to the current PVB condo association.

If it is a new resort, then it will almost definitely have resale restrictions and those buying resale today and since 2019 won't be eligible to use their points there.

Until that is known, anyone buying PVB on the resale market should consider how important it is to use them at the tower. If you want that ability, then you need to wait until it is officially decided.

I wanted to thank everyone for insight and opinions. We submitted an offer this morning and seller accepted tonight.

Paying higher price, but the contract works for us. We also have a bit of a deadline because of a very large family trip (7 rooms) next year. We had been renting from others for the going rate. This contract will allow us to book the last of the rooms.

Polynesian resort has a very special place in our hearts. It was the last family trip before my father passed away.

Congrats and welcome home! :)

Life is short, enjoy life and family.

DW was forced into retirement (company she worked for closed last year). I'm close enough that retirement is definitely on my mind. I am a cancer survivor. One of the things we love about Disney is the ability to sit on a bench and see so many people laughing and smiling. Over the years, we have had more than a few tears in our eyes watching CMs bring magic to a family.
Completely agree. We loved walking the beautiful grounds of the different resorts and watching the little ones’ faces light up. It’s a great escape!

So so happy for you. Hope you enjoy amazing memories, both from the past and those to come!!! Welcome home!

I can”t speak for others but for my family we choose to wait for direct points at a resort where we want to book at 11 months and still have flexibility at 7 to occasionally stay at some of the current/future restricted resorts. With that being said, it doesn’t mean we stopped vacationing 😀. Hope your health gets better so you get to enjoy the remaining 19 years on your contract and welcome home!
Thank you! Things are looking up and fingers crossed we have a “normal” year in 2024. I totally get that choice. What is right for each of us is very different! I hope you get just what you want at just the right timing!
