Considering a new woofie, anyone use paw wrap?

So my much loved cavalier has been gone a while now and we are considering a new one. This time though we do not have the luxury of a fenced in private yard so I am thinking I want to get a new pet used to being walked with something on the feet to protect against chemicals and other pet germs I suppose is a bonus. There are booties but I also see people using a sort of wrap and am wondering if any regular people have tried this? (and by regular I mean not paid to advertise)

Also going to be using a pet jacket and getting the little one used to travel bags right away.

We live in a community where we do not have our own yard and have always had to take the dog for a walk. Neither our former dog or current dog would wear anything on the paws. If the lawn was done or salt in the road in winter we just wipe her immediately when coming back.

I always dipped my lil love in the tub with soapy water but the arthritis in my back & neck are now so much more easily set off so I am aiming at prevention without any lifting.

Mine would not go for anything on her paws either. Bought some booties and was a waste of money. Just wiped her paws clean and she was always ok with that.

We have an older dog approx. 17. She is in good health but of course has slowed down alot. She had begun to have trouble walking on floors that do not have carpet. Lost a lot of strength so she would slide around. She would not wear traditional booty style so we got her these and they solved the issue. She does not even know they are there. May work for walks

If you train your dog from Day 1 with booties it will be easier. A few days after getting our now 3.5-year-old Golden, he burned his paws on our hot deck. After that we just put booties on him, and he got used to them. When we got our younger Golden, we just started her with booties the first day she was home to keep the snow and ice out of her paws.

Both of our dogs are crisis response dogs and must be able to wear booties. We had no problem because we have both of them trained. Before the training, other handlers were told to start with baby or toddler socks on the dog's feet and then gradually switch over to the booties.

We purchased the Canada Pooch Dog Boots on Amazon. You can go through their website, but because it's a Canadian company S&H was more expensive than Amazon.

It must be the trick from Day 1
As we rescued ours at nearly a year, and lord knows we have tried ever kind of boots out there! We still have about 3 pairs, including the Canada Pooch to match his coat. The pet stores are great with refunding/swapping out

I did try to sew some from baby booties, being a Pom his feet are so tiny, but nope.

yes just leave them on until the stickiness loses its effectiveness. Ours generally last at least a week. Guess it depends on how active they are. Her vet is the one who originally told us about them.
