Consider Pre-ordering if dining at BOG!

I was just looking at making an ADR for breakfast in September, but it is not offered? Is breakfast just a summer thing?

Just an FYI....breakfast thru October 3 opened today......so go grab one now! (Doesn't appear it has been announced officially on Disney's blog yet, but people are ordering online and by phone and it's in our MDE. Go now!

Only confirms what I said from my first visit the week it officially opened, that line is due to the horribly slow ordering process of self order entry with one CM taking payment from and assisting 4 different groups.

While I am a fan of being able to pre-order, there is a possibility that BOG will er...misplace (?) that order. Other people in the line-up with us had similar issues, so there must have been a glitch or something. It happened to us in early Dec 2014.

There was also no visible advantage to being the in the pre-order line-up, as it was at a standstill and those in the line-up who had not pre-ordered seemed to be moving faster. Suffice to say, it was well over 45 minutes until we got our food and by that time my children and DH were upset at me for choosing such a place.

I felt compelled to cancel the BOG dinner reservation on that trip. I hope everyone has short memories for our next trip since I am determined to feast with the Beast.

TiW will only work for dinner. Lunch is counter service and TiW won't work for that.

We were at Disney 6/11 -6/14. On 6/07 as a last minute thing I checked to see what was available for lunch on 6/13 and scored a BOG lunch @ 1:05. I preordered, French onion soups, Steak sandwich and the braised pork. Arrived at 1:00, went in at 1:05, & at the door instead of just going to the long line on the right I told the young lady at the door that I'd preordered so she let Us in on the left , straight to the cashier. I paid, no one there but me and then we seated ourselves and the food came 15 minutes later. The process was much faster than when we went in October w/out preordering!

It's really not suprising that they would take it away. It is an extremely popular lunch spot. I will happily pay full price as I found the food to be very good and the atmosphere superb.

Just wanted to make a Disney Dining Public Service Announcement.

Had an ADR for BOG for lunch last week. When we walked up to the gates of the castle, we were shocked to see the long line stretching out of the castle. I thought, what is the point of making the ADR? That was the line though if you did not pre-order your meal. Fortunately I did pre-order and it was so easy!!! We just walked past everyone, paid, and sat down. Food magically appeared within 5-10 minutes.

We were there last month and had the same experience! I was surprised to see such a long line over that bridge. Pre-ordering is definitely the way to go!

We were going to pre-order but it says they can't split the bill. We have 3 groups of people on the reservation and everyone pays for their own. Do you know if they will let you pay for your part at the register and not the whole order?

Very good question. I am not 100% sure but I think you can. I think they asked me if it was all going to be on one form of payment (there was 8 of us) and it was. I hope someone else can answer!

My lunch adr has greyed out link saying I can preorder in x amount of days followed by the date. I assume when the date arrives I can click it and preorder. Pork and strawberry cupcake here I come.

I keep seeing people say that CMs scan your Magic Band at the gates to check your reservation but if you only have the RFID cards I assume they just swipe them instead to see your reservation and pre-order at lunch. Is that correct?

You pay when you get there and can use any form of payment. I used a gift card!
