Last WDW trip I overdid myself. I have a few questions.

How exhausting are the water parks? I've never been there but plan to do them either at RD or mid afternoon when I get too hot. I was planning on using the Lazy River and a few slides to rest my legs from all the walking. Do you have to wait in line for the lazy river? Limit to how many times you can go around?

I might switch some fast passes for later in the evening instead of mid day so that will give me the freedom to go do the lazy river or nap at my resort (Pop Century). But if the water parks are just as relaxing, I might just do that! What are food options like in the water parks? Is RD the best time to go?

No line for the lazy river unless you need an inner tube and there aren't any at your entry point, but just go in and you'll find one floating around or at the next exit.
Also, no limit on how long you want to go round and round.
I love the lazy rivers and could spend all day just doing that
