I know my post above doesn't make sense, but I don't feel like editing it. This gal was a scrapbooking customer of mine who started a group where she shares coupons, discounts online for other scrapbooking companies. She secretly went through my customers at one of my crops and got their email addresses and sends them emails for discounted scrapbooking supplies. When she started this, my business stopped with the exception of a few very loyal friends. I realized today that what she really was doing was sending them to another consultant where they could purchase their products for 30% off (consultant price). This is a HUGE ethical no no in our company and has not only undermined me, but all of the other consultants with my company in our area. She also did this to the scrapbook store - and I'm sure it hurt them more than it hurt me as I don't have overhead.

Okay, done venting. :)

The first post made perfect sense, and I'm so sorry that happened to you. I think you should let CM know. They would have a thing or two to say about that. It's okay to give out promotional discounts once in awhile, but what she is doing is basically pretending to be a consultant in order to get herself a nice discount, and in the process putting real consultants out of business. That's just plain wrong and she deserves to have her consultant status pulled.

JB your snowmen came out so darn cute! I remember that thread and I loved them then. What a neat project.

I'm not allowed to eat Taco Bell when DH is home. I'll leave it at that.

I'm banned for life from Arby's, and I'll leave it at that too. :lmao:

I'm hungry too; I just had soup and bread from Outback for dinner, and that was 5 hours ago.

Umm, honey, we need to have a talk. Soup and bread from Outback? No no no no no dear. It's supposed to be coconut shrimp and a bloomin onion. Who needs the dinner? I just want the appetizers. :rotfl:

Awww - you're so sweet, but don't worry about me. I am going out of business "officially" but I'll still be ordering for myself and some close friends. I'm done with taking care of people. I've been doing this for 8 years now. It will be good to be done.

As for Disney - we have TONS of it. Both traditional scrapbooking and digital. Just go to Creative Memories dot com and you'll find it. Nice stuff.

CM has VERY cute Disney stuff. I already ordered a bunch for our upcoming trip. Michelle, you should PM her your consultant ID so if she orders some you can get credit. :)

I want Taco Bell now. Thanks Soarin'.

Maybe I'll make some pierogies or something instead. Our Taco Bell closes at 9pm. What's up with that?

That's okay, I still want clam chowder from talking with honugirl late last night. But I'm making do with some lovely oven "fried" chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. I got dinner started way too late so my kids had ramen and I'm the only one having the lovely chicken. There's leftovers for all of us tomorrow.

And what IS up with your Taco Bell closing at nine? Isn't their whole thing "open late?" Hmmmph. :snooty:

Just wishing everyone a

"Hopey Changemas" !!! :lmao:

Read the latest Mark Steyn column......it is a keeper!

Vegas is cold brrrr.........cold...... not what we were expecting.....

Good thing I packed a jacket..

No no, you missed it because it is on the last thread, but it's "Merry Friggin Winter." ;)

Thanks for the link! Sorry you're cold, but more importantly are you having fun? Will you or have you seen Cirque?

:rotfl2: I had forgotten already!

Will you or have you seen Cirque?

Is this worth seeing in DTD? I was so tempted last summer, but since we are going back in June, I'm looking at it again.

Um, yeah to all of your comments. I especially loved you scolding SD on Outback. That's steak territory, SD!

I live in the boonies of upper/lower Michigan (yeah, it really does make sense) and I have a 1.5hr drive to the closest mall. I went up to Traverse City, did my shopping, and then it took me, no lie, 45 MINUTES to get out of the parking lot!!! I couldn't believe it.

All of the shopping is done though. I feel a little guilty because I try to keep our money in town, but what I needed isn't sold here, so I headed up north.

Oh, also put a deposit down on a new VAN today. I'll probably cry when we get it, but it's what our family needs. Can't wait until everyone is older and I can get a car I really want. (I sound like a snob, don't I? Oh well. I'm in a mood and so proud of myself that I let this lady have it today).

Editing to add: the bolded part - LOLOL!!!! I LOVE Arby's, but that's another place my tummy doesn't like, but oh, my tastebuds do. :)

I hope you are having fun even though it's cold.

I've never been to WDW, so I've never seen that show live. My kids have it on DVD though. In my honest opinion, Cirque is worth seeing any time, anywhere. If this helps as an endorsement, my husband refused to take me when we were in Vegas years ago because of the price. We ended up going for free two and a half years ago, and now he is a HUGE fan and will pay the price without even blinking. Even paid big bucks to take our kids, daughter's boyfriend, and the kids' godparents to see it at the Tapis Rouge (VIP, drinks and appetizers before, etc) price.

I hope you are having fun even though it's cold.

the ladies liked the DTD show........I did the NASCAR that time......

You know, I wonder if I am missing something by always doing dude type stuff......

blestmom......bring a jacket too.....and lots of lotion....it is drier than Bob Newhart's humor here...... :) ;)

Hi, Mr. Man! Now that you mention it, I thought about surprising DH with the NASCAR. I think he would love it, but I didn't know anyone that did it. I think he would prefer driving over the riding. Did you love it?

Michelle, now I'm thinking about Gorditos (spelling:confused3 )from TB, bloomin onions from Outback, B&C sandwiches with curly fries from Arby's, and now oven "fried" chicken. Thanks! I even ate tonight, but since they put me on 60mg/day steroids, I'm ready to eat everything in sight.

Yeah, he has to drive. The ride along would just be a tease. Exhilarating is the best way to describe the drive. 500hp motor........at 125mph......on an extremely tight track..........

I have driven on the Autobahn in Germany (lived there for 4+ yrs).....even drove the Nurburgring once in a Mercedes S65 AMG at 150 mph.........it didn't compare to the NASCAR experience.

Believe me. Give him 8 laps at NASCAR and then ask him for his observations.......... I am a betting man (why else would I be in Vegas) and I am betting that he will have a hard time explaining it.......but will be happy to keep trying to explain it until he gets it right. ;) :)

Just posting a "high" to our lib friends. Hello libs! Glad you are enjoying our thread! ('Cause you know you are). :)

If they aren't here already, eventually they will be. :rotfl:

I wanna go! I wanted to fly a fighter SO BAD and the Air Force wouldn't let me cuz I'm a girl. A race car might be the next best thing. :rotfl:

Hello, friends. We were gone almost the entire day. I got to go to the dentist :thumbsup2 . My mouth is still hurting, but I'll survive.

Thanks, for starting the new thread, Michelle. :goodvibes

Hmmm, I had a few quotes from the other thread that I wanted to respond to, but now they are gone.

wonderlanne- all this stuff that is going on here in Cali, is really upsetting me, too. They don't seem to care what the majority of the people want. It's a bit socialistic, imho. I'm not surprised by Jerry Brown. I think he is wanting to run for governor, again. If we could just vote out Feinstein, Boxer, and a bunch of others maybe our state can prosper, again. And I agree, why doesn't Pelosi just sell her jet??

Oh, who was mentioning that they majored in Physics? I'm taking that next quarter, and I'm a bit worried. It sounds like it will be very difficult.

Soarin- I had to take Chem last year. I'm sure you'll do great.

I still can't get over that it snowed in Vegas. Why can't it snow here?? Just one time, that's all I ask. How long will you be there?

No no, you missed it because it is on the last thread, but it's "Merry Friggin Winter." ;)

Thanks for the link! Sorry you're cold, but more importantly are you having fun? Will you or have you seen Cirque?
I love Cirque! My favorite show was, "Mystere".

yes...california is suffering a lot. i have been more than a little disappointed with mr. swarzenkennedy, but was thrilled to hear him tell congress he was going to veto their lame excuse for budget cuts. not to mention when he said, "you can't send this phony stuff through and hope to fool the public".

did you hear about the gasoline "fee" they are going to attempt to pass without a 2/3 majority vote? that's a lovely bunch of coconuts.

I haven't heard much about the gasline fee. So, now they are going to try and go above heads, huh? Why can't they just do things the right way? I've lived here my whole life, and it just seems like it's getting worse and worse. I'm a little disappointed in Arnie, too. He had to 'borrow' money from many of the CSU's and UC's, and our tuition seems to be going up more and more each quarter.

is that to make a hole in the ceiling for the tree top?
:rotfl2:

That's me!! I'm taking BOTH British and American Lit next semester! Mainly to avoid Physics and Chemistry...:lmao:
How does that work anyway, Soarin? Do you take courses online while you're doing the CP, or do you have a campus of some sort to go to in Orlando?

Ooh...I have a Cuttlebug too! Isn't it fun???
I hope so! I haven't opened mine yet, although I finally bought two folders and three sets of die for it this week. I had a BigKickz, but took it back before opening it because I knew it was too big for me. I have limited space to store stuff, so the Cuttlebug was what I needed.

Hope the game went well!

Sorry, but I am "that person" who goes to Outback and orders the chicken. :rotfl: Not much of a beef eater. I've had two steaks in the past 5 years or so, and one of those was at Le Cellier in Epcot back in May. That's the only steak I actually remember enjoying in my entire life. And my family ate at a lot of steak houses when I was younger.

CM has VERY cute Disney stuff. I already ordered a bunch for our upcoming trip. Michelle, you should PM her your consultant ID so if she orders some you can get credit. :)
Sure, if it helps MM, send it my way.

I'd like to do the ride-along experience sometime in WDW. I would never want to drive that fast though. I used to love Nascar, until about 2006 when it became all Jimmie Johnson, all the time. I watched maybe one race in its entirety this year. :sad2:

:lmao:

The Cheesy Gordita Crunch is the best Taco Bell item out there. Love it. Ours is a combo TB and Pizza Hut, but they hardly ever have the personal pizzas or breadsticks available. Sad, but true. They're open 'til 1am Su-Th and 'til 2am on Sat. and Sun.

Just posting a "high" to our lib friends. Hello libs! Glad you are enjoying our thread! ('Cause you know you are). :)

Indeed. :rolleyes1

Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah, lurking libs. God Bless you and yours.

Oh, who was mentioning that they majored in Physics? I'm taking that next quarter, and I'm a bit worried. It sounds like it will be very intimidating.

Hope the dentist went well! I personally loved Physics. If it's an intro class, and if you still have a basic grasp of algebra and basic geometry, then you should be good to go. Chem was very easy for me, but Physics was even easier. Then again, I love math and had a strong math background, so my opine may be moot. ;)

Your post made perfect sense and that was very wrong of her to do that - Michelle is right about contacting CM - there must be rules about this. My friends who do this type of selling through Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc are very careful about not stealing customers and underselling other consultants. That was just so wrong - probably just the lack of aggravation will be worth not getting the extra income. Good for you for telling her the truth.

OK, so here's one for ya. I posted earlier about getting the tree inside because we finally found the tree stand. Well, the tree is still outside because it's too tall for our family room! :confused3 Now you know what my DH has in his sights? Yup - the hacksaw!:scared1: Heaven knows what my Christmas tree is going to look like tomorrow. :sad2:

That's what I get for being sick and sending DH alone to pick out a tree. I should have known better. The last time I sent him out without me, he went with our DD when she was a teenager (she's 28 now) and we were living in house that could accomodate a big tree. They came home with a blue spruce so big, it took 3 neighbors to help bring it in. It also came equipped with a bird's nest (minus the birds thankfully!)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, guess what? I got "The Christmas Sweater" today from Sam's club (no Costco here) for $11.88! Yay! I'll read it after Christmas.

I was at a Christmas party where we had a stocking exchange. Someone got an autographed copy of Christmas Sweater! I'm pretty bitter that I wasn't that someone :) -- and I think I surprised everyone else by shouting, "Christmas Sweater? Autographed copy? WOW!!!!"

I want Taco Bell now. Thanks Soarin'.

Maybe I'll make some pierogies or something instead. Our Taco Bell closes at 9pm. What's up with that?

Okay, MM, I gotta ask - you talk about making pierogies as if they're really easy - are they? Or are you just used to making them all the time?

If they're easy, I would love the recipe - pretty please with a potato on top!?!??!

I just finished wrapping the last gift. Well, at least the last gift that is currently at the house. I also ordered a couple more gifts online tonight. And tomorrow I'm having DH pick up a couple more. Then my Christmas shopping will be done!!!! Now all I have to do is get the house cleaned and I will be ready for company to arrive on Tuesday. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. DH is off...so he will be helping (I hope.)

Whew - you made me tired just reading that! Don't work too hard....

Umm, honey, we need to have a talk. Soup and bread from Outback? No no no no no dear. It's supposed to be coconut shrimp and a bloomin onion. Who needs the dinner? I just want the appetizers. :rotfl:

I'm with you on the Bloomin' Onion and coconut shrimp -- yummmm....[although the Bloomin Onion does to me what Taco Bell does to other folks - but it's worth it!]
