That's a good one.
Only one I can think of is Conservative Wars: A New Hope
But I'm also a Star Wars geek plus the use of 'hope' makes me giggle...

But..but..aren't you supposed to take a bad word and turn its use around to make it your own??

k. i've been trying to get a photo of something for you guys for over a month. because i pass it on the freeway, this hasn't proven successful, so i'll describe it. close your eyes and imagine now....
as you know i have a long drive...on my way home from work (from the bay area to the central valley) i go over the altamont pass. the altamont pass is a freeway that gets to be a pretty steep hill, and it is really windy. it's so windy in fact, there are hundreds of windmills all over it. looks like somebody is trying to make the mountains fly.
anyway, at the foot of the pass the hills on either side of the freeway are high and prominent. for several years now, i have been seeing this every, single night:
picture a cross, probably 200' from top to bottom. it is outlined on the hillside using strings of white lights. inside the cross, are the words, in green lights JESUS (from top to bottom) SAVES (left to right), overlapping like a crossword puzzle. the lights are hooked up to a generator so it shines all night long.
this year, on the other side of the freeway, they put up a ticker board which shows bible quotations.
it causes a little bit of a jam on the freeway, but people love it. i'll keep tryingto get a photo for y'all.

Wow Wonder. I'm eagerly awaiting a picture.k. i've been trying to get a photo of something for you guys for over a month. because i pass it on the freeway, this hasn't proven successful, so i'll describe it. close your eyes and imagine now....

Exactly. The word "hope" was taken from the land of the good, and is now used for dark purposes. We will pray it returns, but for now, we must assume she is lost to the dark side.![]()

If I close my eyes to imagine it, how am I supposed to read it??![]()
Yes! I know I'm quoting myself! I'm just wondering. Is there any way this can be taken as a racist remark?
If I close my eyes to imagine it, how am I supposed to read it??![]()
If they said something like that, it wouldn't be racist to them.IMO, they'd really have to twist it in order to be taken that way. If anyone does, that means they are a weeeeeee bit sensitive.

Decorated Dust, I don't see how your comment is racist. If they said something like that, it wouldn't be racist to them.
That's what I thought, but sensitivity seems to be the dominant American trait nowadays.![]()

I LOVE this. I love it. Love it. I also love "An Inconvenient Thread" - either one works for me.
