Your horses are beautiful! What a beautiful pictures - thanks for sharing!

It looks like it was sunny out - was it? I miss the sun. Here in Michigan, it's dreadfully cold and still snowing. I'm okay with that, but to see the sun every now and then, well, that would be nice. :)

Thank you. There were some I was afraid to let out...including mine. He's a speed racker and doesn't do slow.

The photos were taken last January!! We almost never get snow. We love snow and it's a very big deal when we get it.:rotfl:

I saw that something came and jiggled the catdoor...I have proverbial duct tape so it matters not to me. ;)

I love onion and potatoes, but you've got to add cheese. Yum!! Even better with ham or bacon. Might whip that up right now!
......
I'm exhausted from reading your post. 16 hours shopping! WOW!!!!!

Off to decorate the house!
Yeah, no ham or bacon. LOL I do eat bacon once in awhile but I can't stand ham. Yuck. :crazy2:
And shopping for 16 hours?! You, my dear, are either a hero or completely insane!
I think DH is going to pick up our tree sometime this week. He said he has some projects today and I hope that includes doing some decorating!

Do not get the Olympus FE310 8MP! It stinks!!! I scrapbook also, and am very fussy about my photos. I've always had Fujis and loved them. My nephew knocked my camera out of my hand last year while we were at Disney, so the camera had an early demise. I'm sort of fussy when it comes to my camera. I liked ones that use AA batteries, as I've found the AA lithiums last forever, and I really hate having to charge batteries. So I found this Olympus for about $150 on QVC, and it was being rated at 4 out of 5 stars. I figured Olympus had a good reputation, so I got it.

Ugh! I hate that camera. It takes really lousy shots, everything is always blurry, the low light shots are horrible, plus it has no viewfinder, so in bright daylight I can't even see what I'm shooting. What a disappointment. I think I'm going back to Fuji.

Teresa- My dh got an Olympus earlier this year and I hate it. It doesn't take good pictures, imo. It ticks him off because I always reach for our older, heavier Canon. I love that camera! I'm going to show him the Best Buy camera. Hey, I can have my own camera, right!?
They can't help themselves. We're irresistible. So is Sarah. They can't stay away from any discussion where she is mentioned. :lovestruc
ITA. I think it's partially because she has been so successful and has accomplished so much, yet she is so down to earth. People can relate to her. I don't think PTs like that.

Happy Monday, everybody :cool1:

So, what's happenin'?

I'm sitting here watching the clouds roll by outside my office door, listening to BGM from Impressions de France, studying up on the good book, and cogitating in hushed wonder about how it is that now H and his minions think the war in Iraq is a good thing and should be won. :rotfl2: Gotta love a stinkin' flippity floppity leftist, doncha?

Thanks! I will take a look at it!

We're also looking at Wii's, trying to see if we can find one at a decent price. If we get one my DSIL is giving us a WiiFit for Christmas. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I used to work in a funeral home/cemetery...ya'll would have been a hoot as co-workers.

My DH used to work for an ambulance service that also was attached to a funeral home. He's told me some of the practical jokes they played on each other! It sounded like a lot of fun.

We bought one of those faces in the crystal balls with the moving head in it for Halloween a few years back. This year whenever someone would ask if it was real I'd say with a straight face, "Yes, Uncle Fred usually lives in the basement but he comes out a few times during the year. Aren't you lucky?!"

:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I used to love scaring the kids when they were growing up. On our first trip to Disney, they were fighting over the window seat - until I mentioned "you know, those windows hardly ever break". Then I would sometimes come out with a sucking noise.

I always have been a little warped.

:rotfl2: Me, too!

Yeah, I think $150 sounds reasonable.

I love my S5, but the one thing I will say about it is that it is not the camera to take to Disneyland or wherever to spend a day. It's bulky. Can't just shove it in your jacket pocket or small purse. When we go to Disneyland in January to meet my hubby I'm having him bring his little Powershot with him from Iraq, and I'm leaving the S5 at home.

Thanks!!!

Hey Zip...do you ever read anything by John MacArthur?

Only a book or two, and it's been at least 6-7 years ago. I hear he's written some good stuff; he's just not on my radar at the moment.

Speaking of reading, I have a book suggestion for anyone looking for a good read. Check out "Blindness" by Jose Saramago. There was a movie made about this book this year (haven't seen it yet). The book is a fantastic novel about what happens when every single person in the world, except one, goes blind. Great insights on philosophy, epistimology, "truth", and morality! :thumbsup2 Using a political interpretation, we conservatives can relate to the idea of everyone else being blind while we retain our vision. ;)

Caution: The writer's style is challenging in the he uses no proper nouns and writes paragraphs that are literally three pages long. It's a difficult style to jump into but well worth it IMO. Also, it has some passages and scenes that are undoubtedly adult in nature.

Zip is reading smut! :rolleyes1

I can hear cannons and automatic gunfire from Ft. Lewis. Sweet.

I may look at yours for me, too. I scrapbook so I get tired of chasing down our camera that is usually in DH's truck.

I scrapbook also, and am very fussy about my photos. I've always had Fujis and loved them.

Yeah! Another scrapbooker here. I have a Fuji, too.

I'm struggling with this. I have always used a little pocket camera for my previous trips. But then I got more interested in photography, so I got a larger pro-sumer camera (not a dSLR, but almost). I want to take some cool photos in Disney, but yeah...it will mean lugging around a bigger camera.

Decisions, decisions...:confused3

Those really look like fun. I just got my kids an xBox, partly so we can watch movies from Netflix on it, so I think the Wii will have to wait.

DD was disappointed she had to go to school too. We didn't even have any snow on the ground. LOL

We got dumped on all weekend. I think we got around 8-12 inches. We had to shovel paths in the yard just to take out the trash!

They bash her because she scares them. She is a true conservative. A woman who was not born into a political family. A woman who did not attend Ivy League schools. A woman who did not let being a woman slow her down. A woman who rose to her level of leadership through pure hard work and determination. A woman who gave birth to her imperfect child, thinks of him as a blessing, and thinks of herself as lucky to have him in her life. She has a family, a career, a good marriage, and is beautiful to boot. She is everything that women before her have worked to become and she is NOT A DEMOCRAT!!! She inspires people. She excites conservatives. She is going places and we support her. She scares them because they know she is a force to be reckoned with. They have good reason to be scared. She is the furture of the Republican Party and we love her.

Go Sarah!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am so busted! I don't make a big whoop out of it, but I do have a pretty wide bandwidth for learning. That means I read some stuff that may be a bit rough around the edges. I also watch R rated movies -a lot! Shoot, I saw Brokeback Mountain (and liked it)! :rotfl:

People in my little town and in my church know how I roll. ;) One of my goals in ministry has been to help people see that any Rev is just another regular person. We don't live in vacuums, and we're not sanitized for anyone's protection. I do have a call to lead, equip, encourage, and evangelize, but my call is no better or higher than any other follower of Christ. For too many generations clergy have been skating by on reputation.

Bottom line: I'm about as comfortable in my own skin as I can be.

I was just curious if you had read one of his more recent books "The Truth War". I'd be interested on your take on it.

I read alot of his books...and John Piper. Actually I read about anything I can get my hands on. Usually 2-5 books per week. I'm always looking for suggestions. My next book is Original Intent by David Barton.

TLSnell- those horses are GORGEOUS!

They didn't know what snow was!! The spotted one has really grown. She was only about 1 1/2 years old when that photo was taken. She's getting to be a big girl now.

man my daughter would go nuts over your horses. They really are beautiful...and I've seen some...not so pretty ones.
