Yep, that's the stuff! I'm feeling some better, but the bread is on a timetable so I was baking today whether I felt like it or not. :lmao: I'm going to shut down the oven after this batch and rest awhile, wash the mini muffin pan and mini loaf pans, and hopefully have the energy to get back in there and do two more batches some time tonight.

Gotta save some energy, though. I promised my WAY LIBERAL friend that I would come over tomorrow and help her move furniture and stuff. They are getting all new windows and have tons of lifting and moving to do to get ready.

Here ya go loco;

Preheat oven to 325*

Add to approx one cup of starter:
1 c oil
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c milk
1 c sugar
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 large package INSTANT pudding (any flavor you want...you can get creative)
1 c raisins or chopped nuts if desired (I've used dried cranberries and fresh blueberries, I've also heard of people putting in finely chopped apples, smooshed bananas, etc)
Mix well

Mix together 1/2 c sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Grease pans (2 large loaf pans OR five mini loaf pans) and sprinkle with sugar. Pour in batter, then sprinkle the tops with remaining sugar.

Bake large pans for one hour, or small pans for 40 min.

Slide a knife around edges of pans while still warm, then allow to cool before turning out.

And HEY! Did ya see that I posted a picture of me holding my pistol just to warm your little heart? It's just my hand and the pistol in the pic...the rest was not necessarily DIS friendly and had to be cropped out. :rotfl2:
My mom has been wanting a recipe for this so thanks!:goodvibes

It looks as if they've sold it at one point...good luck and, like Wonderlanne says, be careful of those doors! [or whatever she said, my Spanish is more than lacking]
Hello?? It's "Please stand clear of the doors" in Spanish like they say on the monorail.:scared1: :lmao:

Hey, another thank-you ad for Sarah Palin from freedoms defense fund --

the photography is especially touching --

:goodvibes I adore her. I still can't understand why everyone keeps bashing her. Please... it's old and very stupid.

Ummm, no. Take it from me, who just baked muffins/sweet bread through dinner time, made nachos for my kids but just had a muffin here and there as they came out myself. Blows up your blood sugar and makes ya feel pretty crummy.

I really need to think of something decent to eat now before I crash and burn big time.

I did that at the wedding I went to last week- ate two kinds of cake (the groom's cake and the wedding cake), Oreo balls, cheesecake bites, fondue.... the only substantial food avaliable were crackers, several kinds of cheeses, some fruit, and pretzels, and I had to drive a friend home afterwards. It was all I could do to keep from puking afterwards, my headache was so awful. But I have blood sugar issues anyways (I swear I'm hypoglycemic), so yeah....

Ok, I'm curious, so I'm going to find that post a couple of y'all mentioned earlier...

.

"Please stand clear of the doors; por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas."

I can't wait to hear those words. Ahhh....sweet music to my ears!!:goodvibes

23 days left till I can hear them.....:goodvibes Just thinking about it makes me get all teary-eyed (that and listening to the full ride of Soarin' on Subsonic).

Night from me too. I'm not feeling so hot, so I'm going to give it a rest for the night. Hopefully I'm not coming down with whatever my grandmother has. Can't afford to get sick right now. :sad2:

 Feel better. Prayers and positive thoughts for your grandmother too.

I've been waiting for a link on the "new military type police force Obama wants". I've been told many unstable people own guns. The more guns off the streets the better. I want to know how many are unstabe but, no one will give me a link.:confused3 I've been told, by one poster, there are no statistics......

I found these but, would like to have more current stats.

In 1995, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms estimated that the number of firearms available in the US was 223 million.
In 2005 (the most recent year for which data is available), there were 30,694 gun deaths in the U.S:

12,352 homicides
17,002 suicides

789 unintentional shootings, 330 from legal intervention and 221 from undetermined intent.

So, can I surmise that 229,970,646 or 99.986% guns aren't in the hands of unstable people.....at least with these statistics?

I would appreciate any help with more current numbers.

I hear you on the Holocaust. I'm descended from German Jews, and I'd love to know for sure if any of them were possibly in the camps. That event in history is the one that fascinates me the most, though it is so very sad.
I'm from German Jews on my dad's side, Polish Jews on my mother's.

I'm baking the Amish Friendship Bread again. Just finished a batch of chocolate, and now I have some blueberry ones in the oven. Yum yum. Two more batches to bake if I don't burn out and quit...
That does sound good. DFIL brought some with him when he came out here in May...or was it March? June? Who cares, it's unimportant.
The point is, he brought it, DH baked some, made more and passed it on then threw out our starter. :lmao: I'll bet it's good with blueberries or bananas though. Yum.

posted on the hospital room door of a seriously wounded Navy Seal...

As for Spanish, I don't speak it anymore. I took it in high school and was quite good at it but I didn't use it so I lost it. I still remember some but 99% is gone.
I speak more German than Spanish.

Oh yeah? Whatcha finding?

Looking at Camera's and ipods. I'm thinking that the Nano 3rd generation plus folio and free shipping at $104.99 would not be bad. I was going to get the 4the 4th generation, but the reviews were not as good.

As for digital cameras, I don't know what to get DD. There seems to be a lot at decent prices, but I'm reading a lot so it's slower. I need something for her that takes decent pictures even when there is movement. I'm not looking for anything extreme, but hers is terrible. Any ideas for a decent camera that is not terribly expensive?

I'm also going to see if I can find a wii. It's not important, but we've all been wanting one. Other than the ipod and camera, I'm just looking to see if anything grabs me for the last couple of presents. We are cutting way back, so any deals are welcome.

I have to tell y'all I just scared DD. She was raiding the refrigerator, and I heard her. I just went in and leaned on the side next to the door, but didn't say anything. It was dark except for the light in the frig. As soon as she looked up, she screamed and jumped back. It was too funny, but she's supposed to be in bed so I don't feel bad at all. :rotfl2:

I'm a Canon fan. I have an S5 but that would be too expensive. I like their little Powershots. That's what I had before. Took a good picture, I just wanted something a little better.

Thanks! It looks like the reviews are good. The best I've found so far is ~$150. Does it sound reasonable?

I may look at yours for me, too. I scrapbook so I get tired of chasing down our camera that is usually in DH's truck.

I used to love scaring the kids when they were growing up. On our first trip to Disney, they were fighting over the window seat - until I mentioned "you know, those windows hardly ever break". Then I would sometimes come out with a sucking noise.

I always have been a little warped.

Switch mom and dad... make the Polish side Catholic and the German side Protestant and you have my family. Which brings me to my post.

I'm betting you're like me and can look at an onion and potato and think up about 50 ways to make dinner!

TLsnell>> I wish I had the numbers for crazy people who steal or borrow guns so we could subract it from sane legitimate gun owners! That number is the one I'd like to post.

*just up doing a weather update... I heard this voice call over when I was on the stairway asking if school had been cancelled... BWAAHAHAHAH I don't think so.

Yeah, I think $150 sounds reasonable.

I love my S5, but the one thing I will say about it is that it is not the camera to take to Disneyland or wherever to spend a day. It's bulky. Can't just shove it in your jacket pocket or small purse. When we go to Disneyland in January to meet my hubby I'm having him bring his little Powershot with him from Iraq, and I'm leaving the S5 at home.
