Thankfully, we're not traveling North. All the family is in state, so we're really lucky. DH has a half day today, then we travel tonight to his brother's. We stay there until Christmas Eve morning, then off to my sister's and back home on the 26th. Of course, we're packing like we're going away for 6 months! It's beautiful now, but is going to get cool on Monday so we need 80 degree clothes and 60 degree clothes!

Good wishes to all of you up there dealing with the weather!

Honugirl- You're in my prayers. I hope your results are A+++++.

Michelle, your dog is precious!

Soarin' the reason the concert is not a Christmas concert is because people want to be cool and not offend. Because of this, the minority who hate everything put a "Kick me I'm stupid sticker" on the backs of the majority and the majority take it. It's kind of like the Republicans in Congress-they lay down and get the stuffing beat out of them.
BTW,congrats on being adopted!:rotfl:

Snow?????, How about I send y'all our 77 degree temps and y'all send us some snow.

Norwalk- I had it a few years ago and it's miserable. As for washing, you could eat off my hands! This last trip, 3 of our group of 6 got it.
Each time was during the Thanksgiving holidays. None of us had caught it during any of our other trips at different times of the year.

Blah! I don't think we're ever gonna make it out of here. Long story short, we're still in Ohio and we should be at least half way to FL by now. :surfweb:

Ah well, maybe tonight. Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better now. :goodvibes

I'm so sorry Breez  Hopefully, you will get to leave tonight :goodvibes I'll keep positive thoughts for you. The waiting is the hardest part, as Tom Petty says.

Rie's mom- What's taking you so long to send that 77 deg temp. :rolleyes1

We may be at 'Code Woolly Mammoth' .:chewy: by this evening. Right now it's only at 'Code Frosty' :santa:

I love that woolly mammoth reference by honogirl :rotfl2: FYI- Dumbo wasn't rockin' the woolly mammoth look :dumbo:

Chewy was closer :rotfl:

I'm always amazed when I'm in line and I see some child with his/her mouth on a rail. I'm thinking :scared: :scared: . What are their parents thinking??

Believe me the parents are grossed out by it!! As most of you know I just got back from WDW last week. DS was constantly putting his mouth on the rails, ropes, chains, etc. :headache:  :scared:  I was constantly yelling at him to stop it! I tried several times to explain to him how's there's germs on them and he'll get sick, etc..., I even told him there's poo on them so he'd stop, but he's only 4, he just doesn't get it. He's at that perfect height where all of those things are at mouth level. :sad2: I wanted so bad to wipe his tongue down with hand sanitizer (but I didn't, of course). Thank God he didn't get sick from the trip!

Sadly not until after Christmas, or maybe not until after New Year's. Testing will be done the 23rd, and results probably won't be back until the 29th due to Christmas, and then they have to make an appointment to discuss the results. She was lucky though; she got one of the last two testing appointments they had. A bunch of other people there the same day couldn't get scheduled for testing until the end of January, I believe. :sad2: That'd drive me crazy.

Hopefully both of us will have good news soon.
I'm praying for you and her, SD. :goodvibes

Amish friendship bread. I just keep leaving the "friendship" part off when I type it. It is a live culture bread from a starter that sits on your counter and grows and ferments (and gets fed once) for ten days before you divide it and bake with it. It's very delicious. It's a dense sweetbread. I made chocolate and cinnamon. My kids LOVE the stuff. Actually, I think everyone that has tried it loved it. We went through six loaves of it at our Christmas party last weekend. The last two were frozen when I sliced them and laid them on the plate. I don't think the partygoers even waited for them to thaw out before they inhaled them.

You are supposed to divide it and give away four starters, baking with the last of the batter. I've given away a few, but I've just baked most of it and stuck it in the freezer. I'll give a bunch of it away for Christmas gifts (if I ever get out of my driveway again...) and my kids will more than happily eat the rest. Sooner or later I'll get sick of baking it every ten days and either give the last of the starters away or let the culture die. Someone will give me another one someday.

Ohhh, that sounds so yummy. Wow! Ten days??

Just when I thought Coleman had actually pulled it out...

:sad2:

Well, DH is almost home, so it's time to get ready!!!

Merry Christmas to all my new friends!! Hope everyone stays safe and enjoys this time with their family and friends.

For those of you coming to Florida-the weather is WONDERFUL!! It will be a little chilly Monday-but overall a beautiful holiday week.

i HAD to go back and re-read that a second time....lol typo I realize but it is quite funny :lmao:

:lmao: I did the same thing! Man, ward likes 'em young, eh? :rotfl:

That's funny. I rememeber one time arguing with my insurance company about paying a bill for my stepson. They were saying that the doctor filed my husband's bill wrong using the incorrect SS#. Now, my DH and DS share the same first name and last name, but different middle names. The part that amazed me was the lady refered to the pediatritian filing it wrong. I got real quiet before the laughing started and asked her if she really thought I married someone still going to the Ped?

Ah, no Ward. I meant the ones that I see looking at their kids and just look the other way. I had the same problem with DS. He thought I was mean cause I was getting on to him over the rail thing. It's like at the doctor's office and I see them letting their kids crawl on the floor. :scared:

OT- Didn't Obama do drugs in his youth? I'm just wondering why people are having fun dissin' Bristol Palin's future mil, when H isn't so squeaky clean, himself. :scratchin :confused3 He just didn't get caught (at the time).

*coughRogerClintoncough*
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Clinton,_Jr. When former President Clinton was Governor of Arkansas, Roger pleaded guilty to cocaine distribution in 1984 and served one year of a two-year sentence in return for testifying against a number of other defendants. Subsequently, his brother granted him a pardon amongst the list of pardons issued on January 19, 2001. Roger also submitted six names for his half-brother to pardon, most of them conspirators in his drug dealings.

ETA: If we required all politicians to have perfect families and extended families, we wouldn't have any politicians!

SNOW DAY!!!! Whoo hoo! I think the schools are closed in this entire state! Hockeymom - my sister says you guys are getting pummeled down there.

Honugirl - I'm flabbergasted that they haven't read your results yet. I'm so sorry you're being put through this.
