As for me, fiscally and socially conservative. I say smaller government.
Social issues? I forget who mentioned homosexuals so I'll just touch on that: I believe it's wrong because the Bible says it is. BUT God gave us all free-will so they can do as they please in their bedroom and I don't care; I won't tell them what they can and can not do with each other or with whom (unless it's children ). Just keep it in your bedroom and out of my face (that goes for everyone). And stop demanding more rights than everyone else has, you don't deserve special treatment just because of who you're sleeping with.

So anyway.

if they take the information, paraphrase it, and post it for general comment, they'll show their intent is to conjur conversation.

i didn't see what happened yesterday, but if it was a direct quote, the original poster's name was shown (or even the stupid secret nickname the libs think we can't figure out), or if the intent was obviously to ridicule, that's a problem.

there are libs who merely want to debate a topic and i don't think they mean any harm. then there are those who try to feel better about themselves by putting down other people...we know who they are.

I liked his speech as well (see my thread) but as you can see others are already critiqueing his "delivery" instead of the substance.

I try not to be prejudiced by the way people speak while I'm trying to listen to what they are saying

the reason i think delivery is important is that we've got a potus who delivers beautifully, even when he isn't saying anything. perfect emphasis on a bunch of words without meaning, gives (ignorant) listeners the notion he's said something great.

I agree. I am so disgusted right now that yet another lefty has taken someone's opinion with which she disagreed and created a whole new ATTACK thread out of it — just to pour hostility on that person for the crime of stating an opinion. Really, I am just disgusted. They are simply intolerant of an opinion other than their own — and will attempt to BULLY anyone with whom they disagree into silence. Just disgusting!

I think that sort of stunt just comes off as really desperate and pathetic.

How's kitty?

she seems pretty happy, actually. what i can tell is bugging her is that she's not on the toes of her rear feet, but is flat-footed now, and she can't jump or run (although she thought she'd try yesterday when she heard/saw a huge crow). this morning i noticed she had a little more control over her tail, which is a good sign. she purrs a lot and licks my nose.

I have seen some posts that should have been reported, but I figure we are all (chronologically, anyway) adults, but, I must admit, I was glad I did not mention my Dad was in a wheelchair the last 17 years of his life (spinal cord injury), since I am sure that would have been subject of a "joke" or some other derisive comment.

I am so glad to hear she is feeling better! It is amazing how resilient our pets are.

thanks! it's a relief when you start to see a result from the treatment. we're able to help prevent our sweet pets from suffering, and i was starting to wonder if i had made the proper choice for her to go through the treatment. i know now that i absolutely did. there's no guarantee on the longevity of the results, but as long as she has whatever time i can give her, i will feel good about that. all they ask for is love, but they bring so much joy.

Hmm, I'm not sure which way Dr. Drew and McDreamy are. I don't think either one has ever come out and said anything either way. I'm more of just a hottie appreciator. I may go all conservative hotties at some point, I'm just not sure.

i think stripes in general can be difficult on a t.v. camera. oh well...at least we won't need to focus at all on his fashion sense; just on what he says. (phew!)

That is so true! We were at the vet's this morning to schedule Whitley's appt (spaying). There was a guy there with the cutest dog (it was a beagle/dalmation ). "Marlena" was around 10 with a heart problem and she was NOT going anywhere unless Dad went with her. She was such a sweet girl; he had rescued her after she was abandoned.
