Conservative Thread #2 - No Political Debate Please

On a lighter note...


my DS turns 12 on Sunday. He excitedly announced to me and DH, "only 4 more years until I get my driver's license."

I looked at DH, and then turned to DS and replied, "only 6 more years until we kick you out of the house."

DS's mouth dropped. DH and I looked at each other and did the "party, party, party" dance.

(I then had to explain to DS that we were kidding - he was quite upset).

1) Are you saying theer have been multiple posters on regular political/religious threads banned?
2) How many? Sounds like there must be several, in which case that just makes me very sad.
3) For goodness sakes, why?

something like 36 or 46 posters have been banned. I just finished reading 18 pages about it. WOW is all I can say. Even have attorneys involved. But no explanation why. They said they will let us know why when they can and the DIS posters are in a real uproar. They had to shut down the thread and even deleted posts.



So if you dont see someone around for a while that is why.

Some people on the DIS don't realize that having a strong, reasoned opinion is not the same as being mean. Some people on the DIS don't realize that wanting to discuss cutting edge topics is not that same as stirring the pot.

I think some of this comes down to that Liberals “Feel” and Conservatives “Think”.

On chasing posters around the DIS to harass them front. I had one fan that every time I started a thread they would quote out of context a post I made on this thread. I finally had to change the post so that couldn’t quote it anymore.

The only time that I have gotten points - and I am still upset by it - is when I used the word "you" in responding to someone. That someone even posts on this thread.

I'm sorry, but to intimate that what went on here this week is in any way, shape or form a liberals are evil, conservatives are good scenario is utterly ridiculous and offensive.
