Connecting rooms at CR??

Were gathering info for our next disney trip and am wondering if disney will take a ressy for connecting rooms at CR. 4 adults 4 kids!!

I am not 100% sure but I think connecting rooms need to be requested.

Yes they need to be requested, I was just not 100% sure since my family and I have never need to request this no matter where we have stayed in WDW.
