CONGRATULATIONS to the NY Yankees...On to Round 2...

DH said the Yanks are making the Rangers pitcher look like Cy Young.:rotfl:

I really hope they bring it back and win. We NY'ers do well under pressure.

Let's Go Yankees!!!!

I think I got to about the 7th inning last night and my ds made me put on...teen mom:scared1:, what? teen mom instead of my beloved yankees. Oh the thingss we parents do to keep peace in the family.

Losing Mark is really gonna hurt but all I can say about the game today is....

COME ON YANKEES AND COWBOY UP (Ok, Johnny Damon said it first). No offense to the Rangers since I used to live there).

Yes I will root for the rangers if they make it to the World Series,

Sorry guys - GO RANGERS!!! The rangers are doing great :) CJ should be pitching today and I know him personally and he is a great guy!

What an exciting series! Honestly, I thought NY and Phila. would run away with it but NO! We could actually have a Texas/SF Fall Classic.:goodvibes

I think the Rangers have a very good chance to win the ALCS, but I'm still not counting out the Phillies.

That's what I thought too. My DH doesn't agree with me but I would be happy to see the Rangers win and very happy for Nolan Ryan.

GO RANGERS!!!!!

Since my Astro's are no where near a playoff team I root for the other home town team, the TEXAS RANGERS!!!

I have been a fan of Nolan Ryan since I was a kid. When I was 10 years old in 1970 Nolan Ryan came with three other major league ball players to my Little League field in Houston. They were in the National Guard and all four were in their fatigues. I got his autograph on a baseball that I still have to this day. I also got a picture with him. I now live in Pearland and Alvin his hometown is 10 miles away and until he and Ruth moved to Round Rock to be closer to their grandkids he lived in Alvin. I used to see him every once in a while at Joe's Bar-b-que on Highway 6 in Alvin. We were even members of the same Country Club in Pearland and had seen him there many times.

Now that he is part owner and President of the Rangers, they are one of my favorite teams mainly because of him. Going into the playoffs he met with the Rangers pitching staff and asked them to reach down deep and go the extra mile and pitch the extra innings. His philosophy that he used in his own career was that more pitching, not less avoided injuries and made you a better pitcher. Hearing that from the all time career strike out leader and hall of famer certainly carried some weight. He used his own career and fitness philosophy with the staff and maybe it's paying off.

The Yankees are a very good team but sometimes in Baseball it may be heart and desire that wins out over money. Even my friend at work who is a die hard Yankee fan is beginning to show cracks in his support and is really impressed thus far with the Rangers.

GO RANGERS!!!!!! WIN IT FOR NOLAN!!

This is the sign of a true fan. Win or lose, they're still :cool1:my team!!!

That is the sign of a true fan, and I feel the same way about my Rangers, but what about all those "true fans" leaving the stadium early the past two nights? No one left last Friday night at Ranger stadium. Heck, the Yankees had a chance to come back and win last night and half the stadium was already gone..that seemed really sad to me.

It aint over to the fat lady sings ...and I havent sung yet.:) GO YANKEES!!!:thumbsup2
