...ya GOTTA admit, though, my seats were HOT!

They are awesome! Especially for Yankee stadium!! I'm pretty spoiled in regular season games. We sit in the commissioners box right next to the dug out, so sitting in the upper deck of the outfield was really weird to me, but at the freaking WORLD SERIES I'll sit wherever!!

I love the Rangers and have been to about 15 games or so this year, and while I had fun at every one of them, it was nothing like the atmosphere of the World Series. I got goose bumps walking into the stadium. It was unreal!

People kept asking me if I was really bummed today, and while I am really sad my boys lost, the experience of this playoff season and actually going to the game last night was just so amazing that I can't be that upset.

...my sister and her family plan vaca's every year with a baseball stadium they'd like to visit...they been to the stadiums in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, San Fran, San Diego, and the one where Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame is (or is THAT Cinci?? )

Rock n Roll hall of fame is in Cleveland Lol. I've been to Cincy (grew up there), Ranger Stadium and Fenway. I saw the Red Sox play the A's the year when Mark Mcgwire was in a homerun race with Sammy Sosa. We didn't see Mcgwire hit a home run, but it was fun to go to the game.

Dh and I would go to various stadiums until we had kids. tHE best game was at Wrigley in 1990. My company then had 5th row behind the dugout. We were sitting with a 80 year old women, season ticket holder for 50-60 years. She was telling us so many old time stories.

My brother lives in Houston. I visited just to go to the Old Arlington stadium and Nolan Ryan was pitching.

So what is up with all this talk from Jeters manager about his contract and how he is the "spirit" of the Yankees?? etc. etc. (briefly heard something on cbs radio)

I think Derek should chill for a while and go marry Minka at the supposed Oheka Castle supposed wedding which is supposedly taking place like in 2 weeks???

Derek's contract is up. The Yankees want to sign him (of course), but the next question is for how many years & for how much? Hank S. was on the radio the other day saying of course we want Derek, but the Yankees are "a business", so they are also thinking of the bottom line. Should be interesting.....

He's definitely going to make less than Arod. I'm more concerned about how long he signs for (I hope it's not more than 3 years) than what the Yanks will pay him. If anyone else had those stats at his age I would think they would get a two year deal at most but he'll get at least three @ $20M per.
