Please bare with me--I hope that I do not confuse any of you as well.
We are going in June and are taking a family of three with us--we have booked 2 studios at BCV-here is where the problem beginns. The family going with us is my husbands cousin and 2 kids---well I got a call last week that she is getting married--YAHOO!! Anyway the guy she us marrying also has a child--we can't fit 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a 9 year old in the same room. I now would need to get another room, but will not have enough points left--another trip already planned for November. Now I told them that they would have to rent the different points from someone else--here is where I am confused--If I stay at BCV I would need 3 studios--but only have enough for 2--should I just let them rent from someone else and hope that we get the thrid room near us--or have those points trnsfered into my account and let them pay for it? If we go to OKW at 7 months out I would get a 2 bedroom and put the 2 teenagers in a studio--if that is possible. How would I note that I would need these to be by each other--either resort we stay in? Another thing is my use year is December---if I transfer points from somewhere else does use year matter? Sorry that this is long--- I hope that it makes sense!!

Can you borrow pts from next year?

What about a 2-bedroom at BCV instead of the 3 studios? The 2-bedroom sleeps 8.

You could pay cash for the 3rd studio and get a DVC 25% discount (if available.)

Just a few options....

Can you all fit into a 2 BR, esp at OKW? Otherwise, they will need a 2 BR or two studio just for them unless you can accomodate at least one from their party with you. If you rent points, you must first decide what type of units you want and where then it will be easy to recommend how best to structure it. Good luck.

I think a 2 bedroom at OKW would be less points than the 3 studios at BCV. I am not sure you could put the two teens in a room without an adult. Does DVC allow that?

They won't allow it to be reserved that way but wont' do bed checks.

Here's an idea, what about a Studio Plus at Boardwalk Villas? They sleep five. Maybe if the 9-year-old is not too tall she could sleep on the daybed in the studio plus.

Good luck!

Studio plus rooms are no longer guaranteed, no way to know if you'll get one until you check in.

There are 4 people in my family--and there will be 5 in theirs. We cannot borrow points from next year, because I am taking my entire family in Nov./Dec. for 5 days--that is going to be mabe several studios or the villa---depending on if we can get one at the 7 month mark. Anyway--we thought about doing a villa---but again not enough points---thought about a 2 bedroom and a studio> I am meeting with them on Sunday to discuss all options--they do not know that we are members--they think that we are just able to find good things to rent.
