Ok I have never done this before and want to make sure I understand this.

I would like to book the flying down at 69.00.

Now if I get ding can I cancel this and put it toward the new price right afterwards and us it to book the trip back.

If you get a Ding you can cancel what you have booked and get a credit for that amount. The credit can be used to pay for your new flight.
