Will be going to DL/DCA 17th,18th,19th Dec, when I look at the park hours, it says that Disney hotel guests get early entry into DCA the 3 days.
I thought it wasn't on a Thurs, so I planned to go to DCA on Thurs 17th, to have a chance of riding Radiator Springs, but now it seems it mightn't be so easy, if others are going to have a hour up on us.
Is this correct?

does it not say both parks have early entry? Sometimes when it is busy both parks have early entry everyday

Yes, both parks everyday.
Guess we will try for single rider.
you know fastpasses arent given out for early entry so you could always get fastpasses for the ride, and single rider is def and option and the ee is for onsite hotel guest only so with both parks being opened it may not be to bad

You won't have a problem getting on the ride. If you want to go the FP route I suggest arriving early for rope drop and getting right in the RSR FP line. It will already be a long line but in my experience it moves fast. It's long because many hotel guests with EMH line up but they don't start distributing until park opening (or a little before). Another option is going straight to the ride at opening, usually the wait isn't bad first thing. However I've found a lot of people mob it at opening and it's notorious for breaking down more in the AM. So we prefer the FP route and getting several rides in before our return time. And of course there's always single rider!

I wonder if this will still be true on the days OP mentions (and I will be there in that same time period). Usually when DCA has early entry it is the only early park and all on-site guests go to that one park. But on these days the on-site guests can choose between DL and DCA, and presumably a good chunk will go to DL for Hyperspace Mountain. I think early entry at DCA on those days is probably going to be a lot lighter, so coming in at regular entry probably won't be as bad as normal.

I think this is very likely! Huge crowd or not it should be no problem to strategize riding RSR.

Thanks for the replies, we will see what the line is like for fp & single rider when we go in, and go from there, maybe grab a fp and then go in single rider line.
It wasnt there on our last visit, so eager to ride it a couple of times, we have 3 days at the parks then heading across to WDW for 3 weeks.

This is exactly what happened yesterday. I would say there were probably only 100 people in line for DCA EMH at 7am. it was awesome! The lines for DL were huge. By 8am when the general public entered, EMH people had already ridden RSR a few times. I was able to do RSR, TSMM, Soarin and ToT by 8!

Based on your experience, would it be possible to do 45 minutes at DCA and then run over DL before they let in the general crowds? Is there a separate EMH turnstile to bypass the long lines?

I think it would be possible. There should be a dedicated turnstile for EMH.
