Hi everyone. We are planning to do Orlando in 2007 and I have been faithfully reading the boards to learn as much as possible from all you experienced folks. Yesterday my hubby came home saying that a coworker had just returned from WDW/Universal. According to him, there WERE fastpasses available at IOA. He said the system was just like at WDW. Now I need to figure out if I am the really confused one or HE is!!! :confused3

Thanks for the reply. The part that confuses me is that this guy JUST got back from IOA and says he used the free express pass while there last week. He said it functioned just like at WDW. I am wondering if he is mixing up one of the WDW parks with IOA in his memory.

If you stay on-site you get free front-of-the-line privileges (which is really an express line, not a front of the line thing). If he stayed on-site he could be talking about that. But there is no longer any free express pass. You either pay for the book and get one express entrance per attraction, or you stay on-site and get unlimited express entrance with you hotel room key.

He probably confused Universal with MGM. The free express kiosks are gone. In fact the kiosks that have been covered for months are now actually being removed everywhere.

Thanks! You are probably right... he likely is thinking about MGM. I know that they did not stay onsite. I just suddenly wondered if they had opened up the machines for a bit due to volume. I didn't think so! Yes, I can still use the FOTL argument for staying onsite! I can't wait!
