Confirmation Received!

Hey Guys! I just had to get on and post! Got in from work tonight and Dh hands me a DVC envelope- It had been opened (of course-LOL) & As I pulled it out... It was our Ressie Confirmation! WoooHoooo!
I am so excited! I have been on pins & needles- It was our first ressie and w/ developer points- They said we had it but couldn't get confirmation for about 2 weeks- Well, It's here! I just had to announce to all- Especially anyone else who did a developer points ressie- They do come! Well, I guess I can now call and request any special requests- That is what she told me on the phone- After confirmation I could call to request a specific type room or area- It will be noted, not gaurenteed mind you but noted- & I will do just that tomorrow morning on the way to work! WooHooo! Disney here we come!

Congrats! I don't know about you but I was so nervous when I made my first reservation with my developer points. Once I got my confirmation I went online and booked DME, I really liked being able to do that online. Today I called to request the Grandstand area of SSR and the CM I spoke to was so nice.
Isn't owning DVC a great feeling?!

Congratulations!!! We just got the confirmation of our 7 month change and I did the happy dance all the way into the house.

TIP: I hear it's a good idea to bring your confirmation with you when you go.

No, it is easy, the process takes a little longer and has to be done manually and it won't show up online in your account so people are nervous until they get the confirmation in the mail.

We got our confirmation letter yesterday too for our recent developer point booking at SSR from our AKV add-on. They gave us the confirmation number over the phone when we called to book it but its always nice to get that piece of paper with everything in writing. It took 2 weeks to the day from when we called to book it.

& to everyone, Thx for the responses-

Yes! We got our confirmation # on the phone when we made the ressie- It was actually very easy great service & very friendly CM @ MS who helped along the way and kept telling me not to worry- but - yeah, a little nerve racking since I couldn't "see" it in writing anywhere at all! I got the name of the CM @ MS that took it, etc and wrote down EVERYTHING! I was more worried that somehow it wouldn't be "final" & we could possibly lose the ressie- She assured me that No! That wouldn't happen but that the developer points had a diff system that the bookings went under- I was still really nervous until... Ta-Da!!! We got it in the mail & I was psyched! It has our room, the date and time to check in, date & time of check out (so I know that the exact ressie is what we got) It also has the size villa I asked for- Wheeeee! Just looks so good on paper!
Don't be nervous to join w/ this incentive- When will you be able to buy in at a great resort and also get a FREE stay on Disney! For us that means we get to go twice next year if we want- & believe me- We Want! We Want! LOL It would be even cooler if we could go for a very long extended stay but work schedules prevent that- So, yeah, we will settle for 2 week long visits! & we will still have some points to bank from 2008 Dec UY to carry into 2009 points Dec UY so we may be able to do a Grand Villa stay in 2010! DVC sounds awesome to me and that is one reason we joined- So much fun to decide if we will be staying here or there- for this long or that long- & for us, if we don't get the first resort we ask for, it won't be the worse situation- We feel we will love all of them! It will be exciting to stay at each one & experience something different each visit! Good luck on your decision & Thx to everyone for the congrats! We soooo feel like we belong to this wonderful family!

First Trip- April 09 @ SSR and didn't request a particular "area" don't know which one we should ask for so we will leave it to the luck of the draw- LOL I am going to request a dedicated 2 BR rather than the lock-off- Hope we get that!

Ahhhh- Thx Mike! Guess I never remembered that one since we won't be needing it- Drivers here! Figure by April we should not have problems w/ getting gas and it is still definitely cheaper than flying 7 of us!

CONGRATS!! We are newbies too and will be using our developer points at SSR in feb 09. We may be booking a grand villa in 2010 as well!! So looking forward to our trip, now if we could just make our ADRs....
