From my understanding when you get to the resort there is a separate line for those who have taken advantage of online check-in. They have all of your things printed out and ready for you, including your KTTW. Because everything is all ready the line moves faster AND not everyone takes advantage of it so the line is also shorter.

Thanks! They didn't have it for our last trip. Can you make requests for buildings/floors. Because of my knee I am hopnig for a 1st floor in Dalmation (we've stayed there the 2 times and I really liked how close it was to everything!)

There are some requests you can make online. I requested ground floor, near transportation. I can't remember what the other two choices were (one of them was a fridge I think- for a $$ of course) but you can only pick two of the four options.

I know! I remember sitting next to you at the Halloween party after you got back from your trip and you talking me into looking at prices for homeschool tickets and before I knew it I was joining the DIS and booking rooms! 10 months went by SO fast.

Kya's next item should come as no surprise considering I recently changed my schedule to accomodate it!

9: Mad Tea Party!!

Honestly, I worked to rearrange the itinerary because Kya was so disappointed but I probably would have done it any way because I was bummed about it too. When I was a little girl dreaming of my parents taking me to WDW the teacups were THE ride I envisioned. I know there are other signature rides but in my heart the teacups ARE Disney. I'm so happy we were able to work it out.

(I'm also really hoping for one of those cool panning shots with the rider in focus and the background a streak of motion, lol.)

As for the picture, I think I'll manage but the more I learn about the photography the more I know that NOTHING is easy!

Oh my goodness I just can not believe how close our trip is. The kids are getting so excited! Yesterday Jace asked me three or four times if I was excited. It was really random too- he'd just be sitting there playing with Legos or something and look up with a big smile on his face and ask me.

Which is why the next thing I'm looking forward to is...

8: Seeing the World through the kids eyes

They are growing up so fast and I'm so excited to be taking them to a place that will not only allow them to be kids but will encourage it. They are old enough to know that the characters are people in costumes but I know from my own experience that when you are at Disney that all fades away. You FEEL like you are meeting THE Mickey Mouse. I just can't wait to see the kids reactions to all the magic. I know it will be infectious!

I wanted to let you guys know that tomorrow is the wedding I'm shooting and will be a super busy day (especially since I'm also helping with decorating) so I probably won't have time to check the DIS. Fear not- I shall return the next day and do two countdown items.

It is always so nice going somewhere that everyone can be a kid. Your kids are at a great age for that. I actually remember being like 10 or 11 and just feeling like such an adult, and wanting to be a little kid still!

Good luck a the wedding today. I'm sure you'll have a great time and take some beautiful pictures!

Well, Karen and I both survived the wedding. I just have to say that wedding photography is EXHAUSTING! I'm still not finished because I have to edit the pics and get a disc to the bride but right now I'm just waiting for them to upload. I knew I'd filled my 8GB memory card last night but wasn't sure how many pics it would hold. Well, I do now- 2350! Eventually I also popped in another memory card and took about 30 shots with it. I guess I know how I'll be spending the next few days!

In addition to editing pictures I'll also be getting ready for our trip!! I'm still counting down and I'll just go ahead and put the next two together since they are pretty similar...

7 and 6: Wishes and Illuminations!

I LOVE fireworks and have ever since I was little. We've traveled hours to see good fireworks for 4th of July so I just know we're going to love what Disney can do!

We'll also get to see Hallowishes though I'm not sure where. I am hoping to see some on the ferry after our dinner at 1900 PF and then the night we go to the party I'm really torn between watching from Main Street and letting the kids ride Dumbo and watching from there. The kids want to ride Dumbo and this is what I've wanted too but I also really want to see the castle lit up. We can't do it all and will have to decide but it's so hard! I figure that after we actually see Wishes the kids will be so enthralled that they'll want to see Hallowishes from Main Street as well but we'll just have to wait and see I guess.
