has anyone here eaten at the concourse steak house. I just booked ps ressies at recommendation of travel agent. I have not seen any posts about this restaurant and am becoming nervous. it's my parents 40th wedding anniversaryand i want to take them to a nice place. thanks for any info.

It wasn't recent-but in 2001 we had both dinner
and breakfast there.

Steaks are very good, service was okay- you do
get some noise because you are right
beside Chef Mickey's and it can get pretty
loud in there (made us wish we were there,
sounded like they were having a great time).

Breakfast is a la carte, which is a nice change from
breakfast buffets-hot and well prepared to your
specs (my DS only eats eggs whites, DD won't
eat runny eggs-you get the picture).

We ate there a couple years ago as well, and had similar experiences. Food was good, not exceptional, but a good value for WDW. Service was pleasant and efficient, but not polished. We ate fairly early, so there wasn't too much noise from CM's. We're planning on returning the August.

Every time we visit WDW we have eaten both Dinner and Breakfast here (Lunch too sometimes) and we really enjoy it! Good steaks and great omellettes and can't say we've ever had a problem with service. Had some super sandwiches at lunch time also.....:D

We've eaten dinner at CS several times over the past few years(most recently 12/02). It is very good, and we've had good luck with the service. It is a nice place, but I wouldn't call it elegant.

If you'd consider an alternative suggestion, read some of the opinions of Le Cellier in Epcot (the Canadian Pavillion). That would be an excellent choice to celebrate such a special occasion.

thanks for the posts!

I've decided to cancel the Concourse after looking on the Disney website and seeing the monorail runs above the restaurant.

Still need help deciding where to go but started another thread under Victoria's & Albert's

Thanks again, you guys/gals are GREAT!

I've already replied to your V&A thread, but would note that the Concourse (tho not bad) probably wasn't the best choice for an anniversary dinner.
However--the California Grill in the same resort might be--.

We were very pleased. The food was excellent. We were just there in October. DH devoured his steak!!

I was there in July 2001 and enjoyed it also. The food and service was great. It was neat to see the Monorail passing overhead also. There was some noise coming from Chef Mickeys but not enough to be a distraction. Depending on your table you may catch a glimpse of a character or two over in Chef Mickeys.

We eat at the Concourse Steakhouse a few times each vacation for breakfast and have had dinner once or twice. The food has always been very good and the service was fast and friendly. We have never found Chef Mickey's or the monorail to be a distraction while at the Concourse Steakhouse.
