Concierge Services in Cat 3's?

KAMLEN-----

Thanks for the reply....... I am so confused... I have read that ALL suites could order from Palo room service. I wonder if it something they have just recently changed to only be available to cat. 1 and 2?

Hi Tammi, You mentioned that the Concierge Team helped you register for the Kids Clubs. Does that include Flounders too?

kaseyC, I can't answer your question about Flounders. I only had to register my 9yo ds. However, if you want the Concierge Team to arrange all your reservations, clubs, etc., I would suggest getting there early. We had a Cat. 2 so I had already been able to make my Palo reservations prior to the cruise, however this is the only thing that can be done by Concierge prior to boarding and I still needed to register my ds. I went down to register my ds and found there were a lot of people there. After a 20+ wait, the Concierge team was spending a lot of time with the other concierge passengers as many didn't have any dates, times, in mind for Palo, the spa, etc., ds and I decided to walk up to the clubs to see how long the line was. We walked in, I picked up the form and had him registered in less than 10 minutes. HTH

Maybe this an area that they've improved upon. We were on the May 27th Wonder and while Rebecca (concierge team) actually helped us with Palo's, spa & excursions, there were kid counselors who were assisting with the sign up. I believe I noticed three of them rotating around the room. The process ran quick and smooth for us, but each sailing is probably a little different.

It would have been nice to have kid counselors there assisting. However, only the concierge team, Monica and Maria, was handling each reservation, etc.

Oh, that's not the way it normally happens... You usually have one kids club counselor doing the kids signups, and a spa rep. doing the spa signups.

That makes it go by very quickly!

We were in a Cat 3 two years ago. Once we completed all our reservations with the concierge team, one of the kids counselors came over and signed our 2 boys up for the clubs. I believe the only thing we needed to do at the club the first time we took them was pickup name tags. The counselor got all the information the clubs needed and gave us a pager.

We arrived early at the concierge meeting and there was only one other family there already. The concierge manager assisted us right away and we were done in less than 30 minutes. It was a very easy process.
