concierge Rooms

There seems to be a lot of emphasis on concierge level rooms, what are the advantages and are there economies of scale?

I don't think there's anything different about the rooms themselves, but there's a whole different level of service associated with a concierge stay.

There are special concierge staff available to concierge-level guests from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. They're there to provide personalized attention to needs like ADRs, babysitting arrangements, tickets, etc.

There's also a concierge lounge that offers snacks and drinks.

And there are also special concierge sunrise and sunset safaris at the Animal Kingdom park for concierge guests. These are not free, but are only available when staying in a concierge room.

The concierge rooms at AKV also get daily Mousekeeping and turn down service each day in addition to the lounge offerings and special services from the staff. There's a thread on the resorts board about concierge accomodations at all the deluxe resorts- it includes a lot of information about AKV (specifically) as well.

There are only five two bedroom lockoff villas available at AKV for points. Currently members can book non-DVC resorts that have concierge - YC, GF, Polynesian. But it requires a whole lot of points to stay in those non-DVC rooms.

None of the other DVC resorts offer concierge rooms/villas.
