Concierge question

I have seen several posts which people talk about checking into Concierge rooms around 11. Does Concierge have a different check-in?

(Hoping to book Concierge Poly stay as an add on to our Nov 06 cruise.)

Concierge has the same check in time as regular rooms. YOu can check in at anytime during the day but your room most likely will not be available to you at that time.

The nice part is that even though your room might not be ready, the lounge is available for you to use. After a long plane trip or day of travel, it's nice to simply relax with a cold drink and maybe a snack if you time it right. In 6 or so concierge check-ins before noon time, we've only had to wait once for our room to be ready. Probably just good luck though.

I agree with BounceyOne, but I will say I have been very lucky on several trips. I have arrived at 7am, 10am and 2pm and a room was available and I can tell you after being on a plane all night, it was nice to have the room available. Now it hasn't happened every trip but it sure was nice when it does happen.

The thing is "IF" and I want to stress "IF" the room is available with the view you requested, they will be more then happy to give you the room but if it's not, they'll check you in but will not assign you a room, that way your luggage gets stored and your off. They'll tell you to call back or check back to see if the room is ready or available.

If you are a concierge guest, what has happened for us in the past was they gave a keycard so we could have access to the floor or building saving us the time of dealing with the front desk. We always stop in the lounge to grab a cup of coffee and some juice. The front desk can have long lines if the resort is busy.

Good Luck!

We did a Poly / AKL CL split stay, checking into AKL CL on the Thursday before Easter. We got to AKL around 11:30 am and our room was ready for us when we arrived. I was surprised because we were checking in during one of their busiest weeks.

Thank you. I understand now. Do non-concierge guest also get to go to their room earlier than 3 if it's ready?

Yes, if a room is ready, they will let the guests go to their room once they've checked in, even if it's not a concierge level room.
