Please HELP! I am trying to get my DH to join before the incentive is gone.

Does anyone know if the concierge collection point exchanges go up every year? Do they stay the same? Is it listed in the guide book that they Can't go up, or is this simply a privelege to DVC members, subject to change at any time?

Also, are the points exchanges for rooms only, or do they offer a golf/skiing/etc. discount?

And, what is the golf discount for members when staying at a DVC resort at WDW?

My DH is a golf addict, and if I can sell him on the golf benefits, I'm might just be reading those "Welcome Home" signs. My guide is off for 2 days and I just can't wait to find out these answers.

Thanks

The Concierge Collection (and other DVC "Collections") is negotiated each year and is not guaranteed. It is an optional component of DVC and offers another way to enjoy our membership, but is subject to change.

The offerings in the Concierge Collection are room on;y, but some places may offer a discount. (Keystone has a ski discount for DVC members.)

DVC does offer a golf program for members which involves a membership. There are several posters here who have first hand experience with that program and can offer much more detail than I.

Good luck- hope your DH will see the light!

Enjoy!

Thanks Doc,
Once again you've answered another one of my endless questions.

Hope someone can tell me about the golf membership now.

The members website is giving me errors right now so I can't help with any info from there. This is what the February 2002 "Special Member Privileges" sheet (members get this at check in) said about golf:

Special Golf Offer
The exclusive "Disney Vacation Club Golf Membership" offers special rates to DVC members and up to 3 guests. The Membership includes one 18-hole round of golf per day, per guest, at Disney's Magnolia, Palm, Lake Buena Vista, Osprey Ridge, and Eagle Pines Golf Courses. Contact Member Services at 407-566-3800 for full details of this offer, and call the Master Starter at 407-WDW-GOLF (939-4653) to reserve tee times.

There have been several threads here recently about the program. Here's one that will be of particular interest, especially the post by drusba:

Hope that's enough to convince your DH!
