We booked Poly Concierge for mid-August - first time w/concierge. One of the reasons I booked this is because I thought I read that they will take care of all of your priority seating requests. Personally, I find that part of the trip planning to be a hassle and looked forward to this service.

Today, I called the DC reservations line about something else. They pulled up my reservation and then answered my question. I then asked how I go about getting our PS requests to the concierge. The agent told me I have to do these myself and if I wait until I get there to have the concierge make them (which I did not plan to do), that I may not get what we want.

Originally when I booked, I was told we would get a call from concierge (which we haven't). This agent today seemed stupified when I replayed that conversation.

What's the scoop?

I had a recent thread about a similar concern. I Poly Concierge had not been in contact so I called them with my PS requests. I was told I would get an e-mail reply. When it did not come in a week I became concerned again. :( I sent a friendly e-mail asking if the PS had been made. It took a few days, but then I recieved a reply and itinerary with ALL my requests secured.:bounce:
In thier defence, as I was kindly reminded on this board, it was right in the middle of thier move to Tahiti.
The moral of my story is call or e-mail them. Then check bacl if you don't hear anything. They did in the end come through. Can't wait to try Poly Concierge, we will be there in July and let you know how it goes.

Oh forgot the confession, because I LOVE the planning part, I had gone ahead and gotten my own CRT PS. Which I will now need to cancel, look for it on the restaurant board for 7/26;)

They normally send out a planning Itinnerary about two months from your vacation. If you dont get it please dont hesitate to either email them or call them. I have been working with the Island Planning office on our 20th Anniversary vow renewal trip and they have been WONDERFUL!!

If you haven't heard from concierge, call them yourself. They WILL make all the PS's in advance the reservation agent didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

You can also e-mail them.

If your reservation was made through a travel agent, it's possible that the planning form was sent to teh TA's office and never forwarded to you...many problems with this, some TA's aren't worth the air they breathe.

WE love the Dolphin Conciegre!! I have received calls from them & 2 emails. A fellow Diser had an extra Cindy's Royal Table ps & offered it to the 1st person who replied, well that was me. Tons of people on this board said that you cann't switch ps or resies, I knew that was not right. I called Dolphin Conciegre & they switched it for me. I called WDW-Dine to verify 5 minutes after I talked with Dolphin & it was already switched. Now that is service!!!!

Hi,

I would email them and introduce yourself (include your reservation number, dates, name)

Just say how you are looking forward to your stay with them and list what PS's you are interested in. They will look after them for you and be in touch.

I think this works better than calling as they may be busy when you call - this way they can look after your requests at their leisure.

Have fun planning your trip

How soon would you contact concierge? We are staying concierge at the Polynesian in early Nov. but some of the PSs we want are available at 120 days out not 60. Should I just go ahead and make these myself?

Hi Lisa, I would let them do all my PS's.

I have noticed when they do it there is little to no waiting at the restaurant - as opposed to times I have booked them myself and had to wait a half hour for a table.

Others may argue that this is not so - I can only go by what I experienced. (I think you get better tables too)

Have fun planning your trip!
