Has anyone stayed concierge level on the Wonder to Alaska post dry-dock? We are thinking about a trip with our 2 boys who will be 3 and 7 in summer 2019, and it's likely my mom might come along as well. Thinking the stateroom layouts might be better for a group of 5 and if we get a 1-bedroom suite it might be about what we would have paid for two adjoining rooms with verandas. Anything I can do to help my DH avoid crowds/lines is also good. But it's really expensive. Is it worth it? Have the upgrades improved the concierge experience? Do I stand a chance of being able to book it when the general public window opens, or will the platinum and gold CC members take those rooms? TIA!

Regarding concierge upgrades, I can tell you that the entire viewing area of Outlook Cafe above Cove Cafe that was originally built for everyone to be able to enjoy Alaska views from inside is now entirely part of the Concierge Lounge, though all reports that I've read are the the lounge isn't busy so that sounds good to avoid crowds. Sorry, but I strongly feel that's just wrong. :( They officially closed the last 1/3 to the general public on the recent Panama Canal cruise I was on and I was so disappointed to see it gone.

Wow, I'm sorry, that must have been really disappointing. I've never been on a DCL trip before but I heard that the Wonder was a smaller ship so I was curious where they were going to pull space to expand the concierge amenities when the ship was being renovated. Maybe that's why they charge so much more for Alaska concierge too, or maybe that's just the general Alaska upcharge on things.
