Concierge Level Here We Come! - Index added

Very happy that Daisy was doing ok. She is a big girl by the wya. ;)

Love the report and I am ready to go to AKL CL and drink some wine and eat a couple of zebra domes.. maybe not together... well after enough wine it wouldn't matter would it? :rotfl2:

Another question...

My DP heard me rambling on and on about what I found out from this thread about the lounge. She wants to know if the soft drinks are canned or fountain to use with the refillable cups?

Thanks in advance. You all are great.

In the lounge the soft drinks are in cans. You do not have to use your mugs there unless you want to .

Hi everyone! I hope that you are getting ready for photo overload because I am up-loading my sunrise safari photos as I write this. If it finishes early enough, I will post them tonight. If not, then I should be able to get them up tomorrow. :surfweb:

Woo Hoo!! Hooray for daisy! Man alive she is cute!! She doesn't look like she likes the camera too much though...lol.
What a nice relaxing evening you had! The storytelling sounds like a lot of fun and the food in the lounge sounded yummy!!
Looking forward to more!

Thanks for the Daisy update!! She is a sweety!

:cat: She is actually the queen and rules the house! :rotfl: I have an ottoman next to the computer so she can lay there next to me.

She is definitely a big kitty! Every time my sister comes up she asks..."Did Daisy gain weight?" :rotfl:

I was psyched to see the cans since they are so much easier to carry. If you want to take a can or 2 back to your room and the soda isn't out, you can just ask one of the CMs in the lounge or ring the bell near the access door (for the CMs that put out the food) and you can get them.

This was the day that I had been looking forward to since I booked this trip. Yes, this was the day that we did the sunrise safari!

When you are doing the sunrise safari, you need to take all of the park tickets for your group to the Concierge Lounge and the CM will run your ticket for your entry into AK. They also give you name tags that are not the easiest to put on! :rotfl2: They are the paper-backed sticker kind and getting the paper off can be a real challenge. They have a few snacks out at this time if you need something to hold you over. We were asked to meet down in the lobby by the mask between 7 and 7:15. You meet your guides here. They take attendance and warn you to go to the rest rooms if you need to because the next rest room stop won't be for about 1.5 hours. At about 7:30 they brought us out front to 2 buses. They then split us in half and each guide took a bus. This was our group for the safari. They took us into AK through a back entrance past the animal barns and the guide gave us a little tour as we were driving past. They let us off near where you get the train to go to the conservation station and then we walked on the safari. Our safari truck was fairly full and Marge & I were in the same row as a woman and her daughter. (So don't plan on getting a row to your self.)

The safari itself was great! We spent at least an hour on it and saw all kinds of animals. The truck stopped at just about every area with animals so that we could see them and take pictures. I have never seen so many animals out for 1 safari ride! I was in photography heaven! The only negative to our ride was that there was one family with a toddler. The poor kid had a broken leg but that wasn't his problem. He didn't want to be on the safari at all and he screamed the entire time!!!!! Of course they couldn't get off, so we were stuck with a screaming child for an hour. As soon as the safari ended and he got off, he was fine. :headache:

Anyways, I took tons of pictures so I'll post them for you now. They will be split into multiple posts (about 45 pictures) and will be in no particular order.

So are you ready????

After the safari was complete, the entire group had a buffet breakfast at Pizzafari. We were in a back room that was closed off from everyone else. They waited for everyone to be seated and then the chef went over the selections on the buffet. The buffet had fruit, cereals, cinnamon French toast with apples, apple cobbler, a homemade beef sausage, pork sausage, bacon, omlet, home fries, biscuits & gravy and scrambled eggs. The meal was awesome we both enjoyed it immensely!

I want to do a safari too!!! We just might need to use some of your points in the future!

I bet that we could arrange that as long as we plan over 11 months in advance and I am lucky enough to be able to book at CL room. It won't take any arm twisting for me to take this safari again! :goodvibes

:offtopic: By the way, Mom called tonight. She wanted to warn me that I may want to be early tomorrow since apparently 300 people have signed up. I told her that I was hoping to be early anyways.
