Concierge Level Here We Come! - Index added

I loved your report and have actually set some time to just explore and enjoy the AKL a little on our upcoming trip. I have a question for you... The IPO have been a great help to me and i am not sure how hectic it might have been without them... Are they the concierge at the AKL and do you see them to thank them? If you are not supposed to tip concierge...do you have thoughts on this?

Hmmm, I am not sure if I can help. :guilty: I am not positive if the IPO that you deal with preparing for your trip are the same people in the lounge. However, the people in the lounge were extremely helpful also. I would try posting your question on this thread Useful Concierge Information

The CMs in the lounge are not the IPO staff that are helping you with your plans. Occasionally, Don (as in Donald Duck) will stop by the lounge.

Some guests bring edible gifts from their part of the country; some have gift baskets delivered to the IPO staff. I read recently that someone give them a few gift cards for gas from the nearby Hess station.

Thank you both for your suggestions and help. My plans got even more chaotic as the party we were traveling with has an upcoming surgery and now cannot attend. When they cancelled their trip, all our joint ADR's were cancelled as well and IPO had to scramble to rebook all of our things. A bit more than the average pain in the neck I am sure we have become.

:scared1: You had to rebook all of your ADRs less than 2 months before the trip? I hope the surgery went well for the family that you were traveling with.

The surgery did go well however they will not be able to join us as they are on 8 weeks or more of recovery.
