I am new to these forums to start out. I am going on my first ever Disney cruise with my girlfriend and family. In June were going on a 5 night cruise on the Dream. We are staying in the Family Suite in the Concierge level and i was wondering if i could get some info on what the inside of the room looks like or possibly what all you get with concierge. Any info and pictures would be great i love to see pictures I do know that our room is next to the Roy suite i think our room number is 12504 don't quote me on this though. Thank you in advance for any info

We booked our first cruise for March in the Concierge level. Before the cruise, it's let us sign up for Palo, Remy, spa appointments and shore excursions at the 120 day mark - so we got to book what we wanted. We were also able to book the private cabanas on Castaway Cay ahead of time. On the boat, we'll get a private lounge (with snacks and free drinks) that leads up to a private sundeck. We'll also get free internet access in the lounge. Any time we've had a question about anything we've called or emailed the land based conceirge person (who emailed us shortly after we booked) and they've answered quickly. We were able to get the dining times and seating we wanted.

I don't think that you get so much more with concierge, I think you get everything easily done with the minimum amount of stress. For us, with two small kids, a hectic work schedule and one real vacation a year, the extra expense made sense to have a stress free vacation and be assured we'd get to do everything we wanted in the short trip. I hope your experience is as great as ours has been. I was skeptical, but dh really wanted to book it. Turns out it was one of the best ideas he's had -- second to marrying me of course. :lmao:

Free internet? That alone might sway it for my husband -- he is never truly away from the office. The places he has been on conference calls has amazed me at times. I showed him pictures of the lounge and sundeck today and had me tell him the price of a Fantasy cruise in June for a 1 bedroom connected to a Family stateroom (4 kids -- what can do, short of leaving one at home LOL). But we want to do the Med cruise that summer so we will dummy book in March and see what comes up in April to make our final decision.

Your reaction is similar to my own wife

When you board, at least on Wonder/Magic, you go to a reception with all kinds of goodies (food and drink) and your concierge host will sit down with you and go over all the details of your cruise. There were reps from the spa and kids clubs there to facilitate things for you. Again, it comes down to making your vacation as low stress as possible so you can maximize your enjoyment. You are paying for that, the SERVICE aspect, as well as the more spacious luxurious accommodations. Enjoy!
