Concierge family stateroom

cool. our first time in Concierge on Sept 7. We have a 1 BR Cat T. Therefore it has 2 TV's. I also beat the policy change!

It would be really nice if you could post some pictures. We have 12004 on the Fantasy Nov. 14 and I have not been able to find any online. It would be fun to see what's different compared to the regular cat Vs. We also have a 1-bedroom (12012), but I'd actually rather try 12004 (or 12504) than try to get connected rooms. It's funny, even with all the online reviews, videos, etc., I still have questions about these rooms myself.

I will provide info/photos once we return. The standard size balcony is not a big deal to me as we are not big balcony people. We are looking forward to the lounge as our last experience in concierge was on the Magic and they didnt have the lounge. Since football will have started, the larger tv will be a nice addition.

What movies were on demand in the room? Are your kids too exhausted from the day to spend much time on the t.v? Thanks!!!

I remember seeing that movie when i was a kid with my parents at the drive in movie. lol

I will provide info/photos once we return. The standard size balcony is not a big deal to me as we are not big balcony people. We are looking forward to the lounge as our last experience in concierge was on the Magic and they didnt have the lounge. Since football will have started, the larger tv will be a nice addition.

I dont have the pictures of this room to upload yet but here is my quick takeaway of this room:
1. Decorated like the Roy suite next door which is nice. Bathroom marble, carpet, upholstery, etc all match.
2. The large TV at the end of the bed is wonderful. The small TV that is standard in a cat V room was not there. DVD was in the room but it (and the other electronics behind the wood panel) takes up the drawers at the end of the wardrobes so not the best for us.
3. The connecting door to the Roy suite is right behind the entry door, so the wardrobes are closer to the verandah than normal.
4. The walkway between the bathrooms and the wardrobes is narrower than a standard V room by maybe a foot...................so very tight.
5. The couch folds out to a bed but since it is right against the dresser.............it prevents you from sitting and doing make up or opening any of the drawers other than the top drawers when open. Since our DD takes naps and we need that bed open during the day, this was a pain in the you know what for us. Also, the bed blocks complete access to the Verandah unless you like climbing over the bed each time.

I would say the best part of this room is the big TV. Our concierge host said that the other V rooms may get the bigger TV also in the dry dock that is upcoming..............and if that is the case, then I would rather have one of the other V rooms if I was choosing.

Just my opinion.

Hopefully in the future, we will just book a T room as we would much prefer the larger room.

We sailed in a Cat T on the Fantasy Sept of last year and had my parents next door in a Cat V. T was MUCH more comfortable. We are in a T with the bump out on 9/26!

Thanks a lot for the honest and helpful review! I am sorry that the room turned out to be less than an ideal match for your family as I imagine you must have had high expectations. I hope that the access to the concierge lounge helped make up for the lack of space? Did you have issues with noise or lack of privacy on the verandah?

My own plan is to use 12004 mainly for sleeping and an extra shower while we spend most of the time in a cat T a few doors down the hall. So, for us, the nice tv sounds like an unexpected plus as a few of us might be able to order popcorn and enjoy a movie undisturbed. The pretty bathroom is also a nice surprise as it will help even things out for those who won't be using the larger bathroom in the T. So, I was really happy that you followed through on the review, thanks again!

I wouldnt say the room didnt meet our expectations per se, but rather was just a bit smaller in that entry area and with the couch pulled out into a bed, the access to the veranda is limited.

we didnt have any noise issues at all in the room or on the verandah. That part of the ship is very quiet overall.
