Concierge/Club Level Information- Part IV, July 2012

I think it is pretty consistent upon all the CL, you can get 2 bottles of beer per person each time you ask.
During hours when the beer wasn't stocked, DH and I always get 2 at a time just to keep the poor CM from running back and forth. If we didn't drink them both we would put it in our room fridge for later. Don't be scared or timid to ask - they are happy to help you!

As for taking it to-go, we would pour ours into the disposable coffee cups and take down to pool (this was at the WL but I'm sure you'll be fine at the BC). I often would grab a few larger cups from Roaring Fork to use to fill with iced tea or lemonade to take with me to the pool. We'd use the coffee cups if we wanted to take some trail mix or goldfish on the go too! Or at breakfast I'd fill with fruit and eat while we walked to the bus stop, etc.

This is interesting. The last time we were at AKL CL, there was a cast member who wouldn't let us take a beer out of the lounge unless it was open. So we couldn't get one to take with us to our room. Wonder why?

We were free to take a few beers back to our room, to keep in the fridge, for later. That was at the BCR.

We have had no problem taking beers to our room. At WL, the CL CM's actually stocked our fridge one day while we were out. We came back to 6 bottles in our fridge. Super nice!!

Slightly related, one night during the dessert offerings, I asked for a couple of glasses of wine. I expected the CM to come out with two of those little wine glasses they have, but instead she brought out two styrofoam to-go cups that she had FILLED with wine. I told my husband I think we got the whole bottle in two cups.

I wish I knew her name! We honestly didn't spend much time in the lounge and I am horrible with names. I don't think it was Shakira, though -- does she have short blonde-ish hair? If that's who I think it is, she was joking around with me one evening in the lounge. The CM who got me the wine was one of the desk CMs, she had long blonde hair? We found the YC CMs to be very friendly.

Love these stories about YC CL! Could either of you compare it to CL at BC, BWI or CR? We've stayed at YC, but not CL there so far - considering it for a future trip . . .

OMG! I am sitting at work and I was just going to ask those same questions! I have one more. Are you allowed to take the beer from the CL lounge to SAB? Great minds think alike!

Yes, as PP said as long as it is not in a glass bottle. The refillable mug works well. Put your beer in that and the head to the pool!

Another hypothetical CL question: If you had to choose between BWI CL (which we love) and Poly CL (we love Poly, but have not stayed CL there yet), which would you choose and why?

I asked this on the AKL board, but I think I'll ask it here too.

Does AKL Cl still have the Wii in the lounge. My boys would love this if we have some rainy days. We don't spend a lot of time in the parks anymore.

I know the CL rooms at AKL are on the 4th floor, but are they reasonably close to the lobby or should I request it. I have heard about the 10 minutes walks to the lobby at this resort.

We are also staying a BWI CL after the cruise. We have not stayed at this BWI CL level either. We have stayed at YC, BC, Poly and WL club levels. I loved WL and Poly. BC and YC were just ok. My favorite resort is YC, but I'm just not sure CL was worth it. How does BWI compare? Thanks

Are all the standard CL rooms at BC located on the 5th floor or are there some on other floors? Also, do all standard rooms on the 5th floor have a full balcony? Are there any rooms that would be a hike to the lounge? Thanks!

The standard club rooms are on the 5th floor. The deluxe club rooms are not on the 5th floor. Only some of the BC club rooms have balconies. If you ask to be close to the elevator, you should be close to the lounge.

So I should request a room with a full balcony? We really want one so our boys can go to bed and we have somewhere to sit and relax for a while before going to bed ourselves. It's too bad when you play club level prices you are not guaranteed a balcony.
