While I will continue to think that the Contemporary is an excellent resort, my new found love for the Boardwalk Inn has finally forced me to give up my CR Resort Fan 4 Life user name, and now go with something that is more appropriate - BWI FAN 4 EVER. It was tough giving up 39,674 posts, but it is worth it as a signal to my new allegiance.

WOW! now that's a shining endorsement! :goodvibes I will definitely try BWI on a future trip, as I truly love the theme and the whole atmosphere of the boardwalk! If it wasn't going to cost us $900 just to add on the extra night I needed, I would still be staying there on my upcoming trip.....asit is, I'll have to dream about BWI a little longer, bit I am seriously excited about finally getting to stay at the famous and much-loved POLY :)
BWI is definitely on my resort shortlist though! Glad to know it lives up to such high standards :cloud9:

Glad to see you changed your name to show us where your heart is :goodvibes Shame you couldn't just change it, and not have to create a whole new account.

I have been working w/AKL IPO for our upcoming trip. I just want to say they have been excellent so far. I called them to give them events I wanted booked (La Nouba, Fantasmic dinner pkg, AKL sunrise safari, & Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise) a couple weeks ago. On my 180 day mark, there was already an email from them at 8 am of everything they booked! I wanted to book my ADRs myself, but that morning I was having trouble linking my ressie so I can do ADRs for up to 10 days. I called IPO & Larry helped me book all the ADRs right there on the phone. Then he sent an email same day listing all our ADRs & events that have been booked.

Speaking of the BEST--the BEST Disney trip I ever took was the one in which I did a split BWI/CL and Poly/CL stay.

A dream come true!

We are staying WL CL and I had emailed IPO about two custom cakes for my kids. They put me in touch with Brian from the Contemporary. :thumbsup2 He emailed me a quote witha number to call to order the cakes. Can I forward that email to IPO and have them handle the ordering? I know they'll need CC info. Do you think it's better to call myself or have IPO call on my behalf?

Thank you!

Hi, I've booked CL at the Wilderness Lodge, and I have a question. I filled out the questionnaire they sent, with our dining, special events, etc. Do you receive an email confirmation when you send that to the IPO?

Am I the only one who doesn't like the Gold keys that you have to put in the elevator to get to the CL floor? I'm thinking BC, specifically? I found it kind of... pretentious, to be completely honest. Please don't flame. Hear me out...

I wish there was another way to gain access to the CL floor because one of the things about hotel elevators is that they typically are the great equalizer. No one really know who is staying where in the hotel.

I just find it weird. Granted, I like some of the benefits of staying CL, but I don't like the elevator ride up with others because I honestly don't want people thinking that I think that I'm better than them. Does that make sense?

I don't mind the golden key. I don't think anyone thinks that anyone else thinks they're better than them. I actually like the idea because at the Poly and the Grand CL is in a separate building and requires key access. My key had stopped working at the Grand and the CL CMs knew I was a CL guess because my key was gold.

The key is GOLD??? All of a sudden, I just became that much more excited. :rotfl: Does that make me a horrible person? :lmao:

I think my daughter and I will run around singing, "I've got a golden ticket!"

Yeah, I think the key is gold just to be a visual clue to CMs, and I bet most guests don't even notice. :confused3 That said, the first time we stayed CL, at CR, my husband put his key in the elevator to access the CL floor & a woman who was on the elevator said, "A gold key? I've never seen one of those before! What's it for?" We chatted about it with her for a bit; it was a nice friendly moment with another resort guest.

We've stayed CL at a few Hyatts, too, and they also use different colored keys for CL guests.

You are not alone. This is my first CL stay and I'm nerdy like that and am kind of excited about the gold key too :lovestruc :flower3:

I hear what you are saying, I've sometimes felt a little self conscious. I don't know why I should though as I've paid more for non cl stays in the past than I have for discounted cl stays, this year for example I'd originally booked a non cl stay at the bc, I'm now booked to stay cl at YC through a great rate which is costing me less than my non cl bc stay.

LOL!!! I'm glad I'm not alone! I've been to WDW 4 times in the last two years, but this is our first CL stay too. The money that I will save in beer from the lounge alone more than makes it worth the money, LOL!

Nope I don't care a bit because it is just plain yellow.
I never saw the "gold" in it just simple yellow so who cares?

I have paid less for Club Level with PINS than GV rooms. I am sure there are all classes of people that stay at all levels of resorts whether it be value, moderate or deluxe. My parents are very well off and refuse to pay for deluxe, yet alone Club Level. Everyone chooses to spend their money differently. The Gold Card did help get in the Hawaii building a few times when I showed it to the CM's through the glass. My key was not working correctly. However, when they saw I had a Gold Card they knew I belonged in the building.

I have to say I love this thread! Just reading through all the pages makes me so excited for my first Disney Club Level stay. I am staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and exactly two days after I booked I received the email from IPO!!

I am so excited!

Just had to share......today is our 180 mark for our October stay at POLY/CL. IPO took care of our ADR's. I am so excited!!!!! :cool1:
