What is check in procedure for Polynesian? After telling guard my name do we proceed to Hawaii building?
When we stayed Club Level there in December 2007 after telling a Cast Member at the Bell stand we were staying Club Level they called for a Bell Service Cast Member to drive us and our luggage to the Hawaii Longhouse so we could check-in.

When I was there a few weeks ago, I pulled up to the load/unload area at the entrance to the GCH where bell services took my luggage and called for someone to meet me to take me over to the Hawaii longhouse for check-in. I self parked my car then went back to the valet station, where the cast member met me and walked me over, which was lovely. I was by myself, with no luggage to deal with, and it was between 9:30 and 10 am. My room was actually ready, so they brought my luggage over as soon as I was in my room.

We already have our dining reservations - is there anything else I am missing that they are helpful with? I wanted to order something special from in room dining however IPO directed me to the in room dining number which I'll take care of closer to our date.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Hello, we are staying at the POLY CL next Friday and I contacted IPO today reminding them of room request even though its already noted on reservation, and emailed. I also asked them for arrangements for something special to surprise my family with upon arrival to our room and they told me options of what they could do and I picked which one and they ordered it and said they would charge it to my room! Wonderful...

Well I mentioned I wanted snacks/candy to welcome family when we arrive, Amanda (IPO) told me:

"Aloha!

We can have something delivered to the room for you. We have chocolate
covered strawberries, chocolate truffles, Milk and Cookies, or a Kids
Snack Cone that comes with a Rice Krispie Mickey and candy. We also
have a chocolate fondue with fruit available. Please let us know what
you would like to order and what time you would like it delivered.

If there is anything else that we can assist you with please let us
know."

Hi Everyone! Could use some help here....

We are booked in a Water view at BC for July 23-30 for 2 adults and 3 kids. We are trying to change our room to a CL room and all that's left is Lagoon View CL. Which is fine with us, but we were just told that none of those rooms will accommodate 5 people. We asked if we can just pay for the Club access and get a regular room which will accommodate 5 and the CM said No. He can't book 5 people into a Lagoon View CL room. :confused3

Is this true? or should I just try to call back and get another CM? Is there anyone I could call to ask about this? We don't really care about the actual room....just want club access for food.

Thanks in advance for your help!

We're currently working with BC/YC and Boardwalk IPO to plan an in-room surprise for our boys! Got the idea from Disneymomx7 and YCFAN on the BC/YC thread - they both have experience with this. So I sent IPO a list of pirate-themed items that we would like for the room (pirate mickey ears, pirate mickey plush, mickey rice krispie treats, swords, beads, eye patches, coins, tattoos, etc.) We just call with our credit card information and they purchase the items and get them ready to set up in the room after we check in. They need to place the items in the room after check-in, to make sure we have our final room assignment and that they put everything in the right place.

I thought about purchasing these items locally or from disneystore.com and bringing them along and/or buying them when we arrive. While that might save a little, I like the convenience of not having to pack and hide the items and it's nice that it's all direct from Disney. :)

Hello! Yes, from what I understand, this is accurate. We wanted to upgrade our reservation to CL last summer, and we just kept checking on the website for a room to become available. (It actually did, I hesitated, then lost it!)

The CL garden view and CL standard rooms are actually the same as the other BC rooms - they are just located on the 5th floor with the lounge. The deluxe CL rooms and the CL suites are larger rooms (not on the 5th floor) with access to the lounge. (Not sure about the lagoon view - never investigated those because we're a family of five.)

We stayed in a deluxe CL room in February and really enjoyed it. We booked garden view CL for August. At first, there were no GV CL rooms available, but I kept checking and one became available. So you might want to keep checking for standard or garden view CL. Good luck!

Yes, the CM was accurate. If you really want a club level room, you could try another resort.
Is there a reason that you want to change to CL? Not trying to be nosy but I stayed Cl there and may be able to give you a little insight.

Kind of a long story....so sorry if the response is long. Basically, I have had a rough month. My dad just passed away suddenly after being diagnosed with cancer just 6 days before...he was completely healthy even at 90 years old and got a bad cough which wouldn't go away. He was the primary caretaker for my mom who has Parkinson's disease. What was supposed to be doctor's appt., turned into immediate admission into the hospital, and then his passing. Total shock. 2 days before his funeral, my mom confessed to me that I was adopted! Then 2 days after was my 40th birthday which we did not celebrate for obvious reasons. Then I had to move my mom into a nursing home closer to us, because they lived 3 states away. Sounds like a bad soap opera!

This trip is our chance to unwind from all the drama and my daughter will be turning 5 during our time there. So sort of a double b-day trip. We thought a CL room would be a nice option in case I wanted to veg out at the resort and just read. Everyone could just go grab snacks and drinks. We wouldn't have to worry about making reservations for breakfast, and would just be a bit more relaxed. We've only stayed at AKL CL before, but have stayed at BC in a water view room 4xs.

Thanks for all the advice and again sorry for the long post.

God bless you, and Happy 40th birthday, I'm sooooo sorry for your loss, it was shocking to read much less write I'm sure. Sometimes its good to write things down even if its to strangers, it helps with the healing process. Things can only go up from here, so take time to heal and get some R&R on vacay if anyone deserves it, you do! .......

I just received an unsoliciated email today from the WL IPO. They attached my itinerary since we'll be arriving soon.

Unfortunately, not one single ADR for the 12 days we're there is correct. It seems this itinerary was generated when I first booked WL/CL back in January. Since then, I've made many ADR (and resort:rolleyes1) changes.

What surprised me is that when I emailed back thanking them (for what, I'm not sure) and telling them that the itinerary is completey wrong, this was their repsonse:

Howdy!

Thank you for letting us know that your information has changed. If you
would like to send us your new reservation numbers we would be happy to
update your itinerary for you
. Please let us know if there is anything
else we can assist you with.

Happy Trails,

Why in the world would I have to send them 12 day's worth of ADR and recreation confirmations? I know they have access to them because several months back the Poly emailed and said that they noticed my ADRs had changed so they sent me a revised itinerary. Of course, I'm not going to bother sending all those confirmation numbers. It's far easier for me to print my ADRs from MDV.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever gotten this kind of response from an IPO before? And, BTW, I've not asked this IPO to do anything for us except once I asked them to change an archery reservation. I guess they're overwhelmed? Not much "itinerary planning" on their part...

I had the same experience with Poly IPO in December. I was told to send all my reservation numbers to them and they'd modify my itinerary accordingly. In fact they not only "offered" to do this, but INSISTED that I do it. They suggested that, otherwise, I might yell at the Poly staff because my itinerary was inaccurate. I was a bit taken aback--this was during a phone call where we were talking about a safari booking, the only thing I'd asked of them at that point. When they asked about dining and I said thanks, but I'd already made my own and was pretty set so far, that was what prompted the send-them-to-us order. I did say, 'I would never yell at anybody.' And was told, 'Well, people do. All the time.' OK, then.

I kept them posted about all changes and we did get a print out when they got there that I think was accurate, as much as I looked at anyway, but honestly, I had everything on my iPhone and that was much easier to reference on the go.

Even when staying club level I always have my ADR numbers either stored in my phone or written down somewhere. There have been discrepancies so I was very happy to have had another copy with me. There's an App for the iPhone called WDW dining that is really good.

Poly IPO told me (last week) that I would have to notify them of any ADR changes in order to update our itinerary because their system is not tied to the dining reservations system.

At the 180 day mark, Poly IPO made all of our ADRS at the times we requested. They notified me pretty quickly that they were able to secure all of our requests then emailed the itinerary by 1pm that same day. This included Le Cellier, BBB before CRT breakfast and CRT Breakfast with some other difficult ones to obtain. We made a few changes to some of the times recently so that is why I contacted IPO to see if they would need updated times.

I have had this happen with Poly, CR, and GF:confused3 Each time it was when I had booked the ADR's myself. This has happened multiple times with each resort so I sort of accept it as the norm and just print out my own. Not to be a downer, but I just look on it as another small thing lost about the CL experience. I do think it should be easy for them to access and change them but I guess not.

Thank you! I've been praying a lot lately. I am just looking forward to some down time with my family. The kids deserve this vacation as much as any body. My 12 year old was at home taking care of my mom while I was at the hospital with my dad. Disney is the perfect place to make us forget about the "real world" for a few days! :thumbsup2
