Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

I am having some issues with BC IPO. Does anyone have a phone number or email address of someone I can contact with my concerns. I sent another email this afternoon to IPO after no one responded to my email sent 04-22.
I have the correct address as I just hit reply to one of their emails. I had asked IPO in a previous email to please check to see if my requests were added to my reservation and if there was a way to get some caffeine free diet soft drinks in the lounge as I can't have sugar or caffeine due to medical issues. (Got a reply saying they could send a "runner" to the store so that I could purchase my own drinks).:rolleyes1 Since we are paying for CL it just doesn't seem right for me to have to purchase the drinks. IPO is not being very helpful at all. Now I am really worried about our upcoming trip and wishing I had booked a different resort. I know someone on here said the conceirge staff was very helpful once they arrived but I can't help but worry. :sad2:

Definitely give them a call. Getting the right person in any customer service situation can solve a lot of problems.

And you do know the IPO that you speak with on the phone is not the ones that work at the club. Keep trying (which I agree you shouldn't have to).
 
I would definitely call BC IPO. It sounds as though there may be a problem with them getting your emails.

We have always had a wonderful experience with BC IPO. In fact the other day I got an email from them at as soon as the July Fireworks Dessert Party window opened up they booked our ADR. We had requested that at our 180 day mark, but they weren't taking ADRs yet. They apparently had it ready to go the minute it opened up.

I can't tell you how helpful they were to us last year when our dd broke her leg and we had to postpone our trip by 2 weeks. They were great cancelling our ADRs, making new ADRs, making up a basket from BC marketplace, getting a birthday cake - everything.

I've never requested anything special from IPO though. If it's not stocked in the lounge (like powerade and vitamin water, which DH drinks by the caseload since he is a marthon runner) I just order it from Garden Grocer.

Did you already email your PIP form to the IPO indicating your arrival time? Other than letting the IPO know of any reservations, special requests, room location requests, etc... there is nothing else you need to do. You won't need to do online check-in since you will be checking-in on either the 12th or 14th floor, depending on what CL you booked.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you, have you looked since you made the reservations yourself to see if doubles showed up? I sent an email to IPO Friday afternoon with my ADR requests (I hadn't received their form) then called a little later to give them my credit card number. Sunday morning I received the email from them with the form. However, I worked yesterday so couldn't send it back until yesterday evening. Then I just crossed my fingers and hoped it all worked out. This evening I went to my reservations on WDW and saw my 3 ADR's were made, times were later but everything should still work.

However, like you I am still waiting to see if the Sunrise Safari and Illuminations Cruise were successfully booked. I asked on the October thread, but probably better to ask here is the Sunrise Safari and/or Illuminations Cruise are supposed to show up on the same page as dining reservations on WDW site?

I finally got an email from AKL IPO last night saying they HAD booked all my ADRs, our sunrise Safari, and the Illuminations cruise. They just hadn't gotten around to notifying me, yet. Since their ADR times were identical to the ones I made, they went ahead and cancelled theirs. They also said the Disney World site wouldn't necessarily show reservations made by their office and that the Illuminations cruise and Sunrise Safari would definitely never show up on there. They were very nice and apologized for the confusion/delay.

Thank you SO much for the contact info! I have been waiting a couple days to give IPO plenty of time to respond to the emails. I have the auto reply from both emails sent on 04/22 ans 04/25 so I know IPO received my emails. I guess I'm now on ignore. I am going to try calling instead. I still have hope that everything will be okay thanks to the DIS boards (knowing that the conceirge staff and IPO staff are different). :thumbsup2
 
Does anyone see a problem if my family and I were to have some pictures taken with the Innkeepers Club Level Cast Members of the Boardwalk Inn.

I don't see any problem with it at all. I've seen photos posted of guests with the club level staff and chefs, like at the Poly.

Oh well at least it's good to know we weren't the only ones who thought of doing this.

In fact recently I asked my parents how come we didn't take pictures with them last time? Well my Dad said that's a very good question and something we all should have thought of at the time.

Will you be posting any of your photos during/after your trip?

I was just typing-up an email to the Poly IPO. I've not heard from them yet, but that's probably because I just switched resorts Easter Sunday and all our reservations are already made. When I switched from the WL to the BC/YC, I also didn't hear from the IPO first.

I will be posting them once we get home because I won't have access to the internet while I am there. Even if I did I would rather load up any pictures to my computer to be on the safe side. Now chances are I might do my trip report from Dalton, Georiga or Lima, Ohio since we will be staying at Courtyard By Marriott locations in those two cities on our way home, because it's one less thing to do after we are home and un packed.

I am sure the Poly IPO will e-mail you back, although don't forget they also handle requests and etc for Club Level guests at the Contemporary since they share that. Actually, the GF and CR share an IPO, but not with the Poly. The Poly and the WL either have their own, like the AKL or they share, I can't recall which.

Oh that's right, I forgot and you are correct. Wow two times staying at the Boardwalk Inn and I forget something I had remembered for a long time.

That's OK, we all do that. The DISboards help us remember what we forget;).

Well I wouldn't say no to that, although we liked the Contemporary more then the Polynesian and that's what we would choose.

Have you checked an alternate email you might have on file with them? I was waiting for an email too and found it in an email account I don't recall ever using with IPO ... and it wasn't the one I had used to send them an email ... but nevertheless there was my response with what I had wanted.

For some reason, even though I am always giving out the correct email an old email or phone number occasionally gets pulled up by IPO and I never understand how that happens. :confused3

I just asked them! I had heard there were a couple who were camera shy, so I just asked the ones I wanted photos with if they would mind taking a picture with my Mom. They happily obliged. (Of course, they also knew that I am a technological idiot and would not be posting them anywhere.)

I actually treasure the photo of Mom with Anita, knowing that it was most likely Mom's last trip to Disney due to her Alzheimer's (and Anita helped me when I was having a rough time due to Mom's disease).

No, the email address isn't the issue, it's usually due to the amount of resort changing I do! I don't think the IPOs can keep up with me:rolleyes1. As soon as I email them first, they always reply within 24 hours. Though I've never had any experience yet with the Poly IPO.

Since I don't really need anything, I'm just emailing them to sort of introduce myself. But thank you for the suggestion. There are even some email address that the IPO's automatically reject. Someone reported this happening with their emails to the YC/BC IPO and they had to contact them using a different email account:sad2:.

As far as the phone number, usually the number you give them for contacting you while you're on vacation, like a cell, is frequently the one they have on file. It's still sort of a mystery though how any of the Disney reservations systems work.
