My boyfriend told me that I wouldn't like the 90 minute if I liked the 120 minute, but we shall see. I will have to try them both and make the decision myself. :goodvibes My boyfriend has a couple of bottles of the 120 minute because he is aging them for the last couple of years I believe. Maybe he will open one up for me.
Aging them? I'm getting worried about your DBF. Beer doesn't age well, it spoils. I think if you ever drank his "aged IPA" you'd never want another beer again.

Lillian Gracey,
When you see the fridge in the Atrium Club lounge that WDWKOOK posted, just wanted to show you another one of it with the Contemporary logo on the front.

Last August myself and WDWKOOK happened to be on the Atrium Club floor at the same time and our rooms were right next door to each other, however we had no idea and I wonder if we ever saw each other by accident in the lounge or in the hallways.

Yeah, we got a dessert beer in Belgium that we were told to age for seven years - YUCKKO!

I trust my boyfriend. He's a beer snob and knows a lot about beer. His cousin homebrews and has a fridge with taps on it. There are certain beer that age well. Such as the 120 Minute IPA. I believe Dark Lord and Hopslam age well as well. Beers with high ABV age well. I trust him. If I die, you can blame it on him. :rotfl:

@CR Resort Fan 4 Life: What's the beer to the left of the Bud Light?

Honestly I don't remember. The logo on the fridge door is blocking part of the bottle, although I can see the words Lager on the bottom of it.

Looks like yuengling beer to me

It looks to me like Yuengling, too. Yuengling it is! They are the oldest brewery in America.

I don't think you'll die over a crummy IPA, but most off the shelf beers only have a "lifespan" of 3-6 months before they go stale. Vintage beers, barleywines, imperial stouts, Belgian strong ales and lambics can be carefully aged for a year or two at most. These are pretty "dark" beers to begin with and IMHO don't really taste better after a year or two. But I expect a full report from you after you turn 21!

Yes, they are and what does that say about me.... That I drink too much beer, or I just remember logos and merchandising.....

Every marketers dream....

Well, it might mean both or it could also mean you pay close attention to DH when he brings up the subject;)

We just returned from BC CL lagoon view and it was fabulous! We had room 5663 and thought it was in a perfect location with an outstanding view. If you are outside walking towards the entrance of BC, our room was right in the middle with the widest balcony facing the lagoon of course. We had a perfect view of what I believe was Fantasmic fireworks (we only saw them 2 nights and both nights were scheduled Fantasmic shows....). There was a daybed and of course the full balcony. CM standouts were Neil and I believe her name is Vilma. Vilma remembered us from last trip and she is absolutely wonderful. Neil was new to us, though he was very experienced, and he created some disney magic for my twin girls on their birthday. He left 2 minnie mouse white chocolate statues and white chocolate covered strawberries for each girl along with a nice card. He also made them great birthday badges all decorated and fancy!

The breakfast items were outstanding -- oatmeal constantly kept replenished, hard boiled eggs, danish, muffins, breads, cereal, juices. Afternoon snacks included nut mixes, gummie fish, yogurt covered pretzels, chips & dip. Evening appetizers were wonderful. They always had 2 hot appetizers -- the chicken skewers, bacon wrapped scallops, crab item, spinach & cheese filled item, pork wontons I believe. Plus the normal cheeses and veggies, apples and caramel, pb&j mixtures, rolls, crackers. One night they had tuna and I believe mussells, in addition to the 2 hot appetizers. Desserts were okay -- we found a few things we really enjoyed.

Crowd level...well....mornings were very packed. I think due to being April and spring break for some people (like us...). CM's were wonderful trying hard to keep tables clean and food replenished. There were some usual ill-mannered people that you just have to wonder about :confused3, but for the most part we enjoyed the people in the lounge and met some really nice families. We will most definitely be back! For now, though, we booked a bounceback for Poly CL -- our first stay in Hawaii at Poly and we can't wait! Bounceback was as reported on here, 40% off deluxes including CL.

Were you also at the CR in December? We were there right before Christmas. Looks like we won't cross paths this summer since we'll be at the YC before you're at the BC.

I totally agree. As long as I'm with my boyfriend he will spoil me with great beers once I turn 21. I probably won't like most of them or any of them. :rotfl: I have learned a lot about beer (more than I ever thought I would) just from being around him and his cousin for nearly 2 years. I promise to come back with a full report! My birthday is two weeks from today! :)

Your room location sounds fabulous and aren't those sliced hard boiled eggs and bouncebacks wonderful?:goodvibes. It's great to leave knowing you have another trip booked:thumbsup2 We've never stayed Poly CL either, but we're considering it. Did you book LV or GV?

Thank you for posting your mini BC/TR!

No last December we stayed at the Boardwalk Inn the whole time, although my family went to the Contemporary two different times during our last trip and I went myself a third time with some friends. The first time we went to eat the Contempo Cafe but it was to cold on the 4th floor, so we took out some Salads and had them back in our room at the Boardwalk. The second time was so my Mom could purchase a new Tinkerbell watch at the Bay View Gifts store, then the third time I went with some of my friends from Orlando to Mickey's Pin Trading Night at the convention center.

Thanks for posting that great review and after those recent negative Club Level reviews of the Beach Club it's nice to see a positive review.

This is kind of funny and just a little tidbit only us DISers would probably care about, but the hard boiled eggs were not sliced this time! I had them every morning thinking that it was just an oversight on their part, but no slicing this whole trip! They were still on those cute little dishes looking lovely, though. :thumbsup2

I booked GV for Poly CL. But there is still lots of time to change my mind (lol) but at least I have it booked. Last time we stayed at Poly, we stayed in just a normal GV room and did the DxDDP, and I clearly remember each day sitting on the beach looking at the Hawaii building just wishing I had booked CL!

Well it helps that we love the BC to begin with, so CL only makes it more special for us. Look for Neil and I believe "Vilma" when you're there and I think you'll be very pleased. They both appear to be experienced and went out of their way to make our trip special.
