ITA! :thumbsup2

Don is the cream of the crop! He was pulled from the RPC to go and head up the AKL CL when it opened, it is his baby. ::yes::
Wish he could be cloned, he is THAT goooood!

Have to echo the Don fan club bravos! He even called me on a Saturday to get my CC info!

Here is my opinion (and it is just that--an opinion). :)

If I were staying without kids and didn't plan to use the pool much, I would stay at BWI vs. BC. I find BWI CL to be more refined and less crowded with small kids. I am a parent and don't mind being around kids, but if I had a kid-free trip planned this is what I would do.

I also like the activity of the BW area, especially if you have a room overlooking the action. We've enjoyed sitting on our balcony at night and watching all hubbub.

If it's possible to appy the code I have to the BW, we're going to switch. I've wanted to stay there since I was in WDW in 1995 and it was being built. I'm starting to feel more confident about the decision. Thanks for the perspective.

Of course, given how DBF registered only to make fun of me in a thread I started, I might be better off at a more "child-friendly" resort. :lmao:

Ha! So it was your DBF in the other thread! ;)
Welcome aboard, bottles!
Yes, the BWI CL would be perfect for you two!

Thank you! Everyone has been so friendly and helpful here!

I noticed that you've stayed BWI CL Deluxe. That catergory is guaranteed a Boardwalk view, right?

Thanks,
Katie

Correct, but there are several dlx rooms that are on the floors below the CL floor.
Request for the dlx room on the same floor as CL. :)

But, really, it's the two of you, I would go for the standard king CL room, there's a real nice one that has a BW view when you enter the CL area.:thumbsup2

Okay, I feel like an idiot for asking this, but do you mean that there's only one standard king CL room? Is it something that can actually be booked or is it request only?

No, there's more than one, it's just a request.
King bed, BW view. Or BW view, King. :)
That was a room DH and I were in once and it was Niiiiiice!:thumbsup2

Okay. That's what I'll try to do. Although I'm a little nervous about ending up overlooking a parking lot, I've got to admit!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can tell me how far in advance to contact the IPO at Poly, my ADR date I believe is May 17. I only ask since last time all my ADR's were made prior to upgrading to CL. TIA

I would definitely suggest contacting them in the next couple of days. You want to make sure they have all your information (including Credit Card # if needed for any of the ADRs) at least 2 weeks prior to your 180-day mark. :thumbsup2

Make sure you get the auto-reply email so you'll know your email went through. And if you don't hear back from them within 2 days; send another email! ;)

I contacted them at least 3 weeks before my ADR date--maybe more, but Christmas was in there since my date was Jan 2. They sent out the questionaire within 24 hours and then we were on the way. They're very prompt replying to all of our emails and are helpful on the phone with our changes, too!

The Poly IPOs have been GREAT!!!! I can't tell you how many times I have emailed them to change something.....withing a couple of hours, they have made the changes and granted my request. They are very much on top of things. You can go ahead and request one of the reservation forms and get it back to them. I did this several weeks before my 180 day mark....emailed the form back, then a couple of days before the 180 days, I just confirmed that they had everything. On the actual 180 day mark, I had an email from the Poly IPO at 7:05 am with ALL my request booked. Super easy!!!!

Good luck!!:cool1:

Just returned from a fab Easter Week at GF Sugarloaf Club! I was not sure if we would like it since we usually stay GF RPC! We adored it and our room. My daughter and I love how close the hot tub was to our building and many other aspects. The entire family thought it was perfect! I will never worry about which to pick again! Boy I miss the GF and the wonderful CM's there already. Also the Easter Lilly aroma was everywhere along with many other blooms!

We have stayed at all the resorts at least once and now we are circling the monorail line over and over again on club level! It is a ride that we do not want to get off!

Sounds like a wonderful trip. Hope you'll post this on the new GF FAQ princess:

Just wanted to post that today was my 180 days and BC IPO got everything I wanted with in 15 minutes!!!! I was worried because I called instead of faxing or emailing my requests and didn't confirm ( I am big on confirming in case I said something wrong or the typed something in wrong :)). Just waiting for MNSSHP tickets to go on sale and I will be set for October. YEAH!! except now i have to wait 180 days til our trip.
