Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

The times when my family and I made ADR's before we arrived when we checked in the Club Level Cast Members at the Contemporary gave us a print out of them. However those ADR's were made over the phone when we called WDW-Dining ourselves, so I am not sure what happens when you make them online and when you check-in.

They can pull all of them up even if they didn't make them for you. I tweaked some online after IPO made mine (they booked me way too early for one). I just emailed them and said "hey i made a new reservation for X can you update my itinerary?" and they did

Yep - they can pull them up even if you book them. I booked all of my own dining as we only recently upgraded to club level. When I had IPO book some tours for me (after upgrading to club level) the itinerary they sent me including all of the dining reservations I had made on my own.

I made my own ADRs online. Will IPO put it all together in one itinerary for me?

Also, can I request a room location from IPO? I already put a request in when I made my ressies.

Thanks.

yes you can put in a room request with them but if you already made one on your reservation there is no need to do it again I would think.

I am so glad that I found this thread. Booked GF CL @ Sugar Loaf a couple of weeks ago. The CM on the regular WDW line said nothing about being contacted ahead of time or any itinerary help that CL affords a guest. I emailed GF myself with the help of this thread and received a response within one day. I sent the form back yesterday and within a couple of hours, I had a response and everything was done. Since I booked by CL after my 180 day window, I had already made all of my ADRs, but it is nice to know that I could have had them do them.

BTW--I know I read somewhere here about wanting bday buttons waiting in the room. I asked for that and they said it was no problem.

Thanks everyone!

IPO will ask what phone number(s) you may have put ADRs under and will include those reservations on the itinerary they email you (if you are communicating w/ them by email). Some even figure it out on their own, using your home phone number :teeth:

I always put in room requests, if any, with IPO :thumbsup2

We are staying at the BWI in May. I made all of my ADRs online, and they sent me one itinerary with everything on it.
Also, yes you can request a room lovation through IPO. That is what I did with the Grand Floridian.
Hope that helps!

I'm a reading that many of you book your own ADR's instead of letting you IPO do it. For those of you who have used both which one is best. The last time we went I got up early and called on my 180 day and got everything we wanted. I am concerned that my IPO may loose my requests or that I may be far down the list of ADR's that they need to book that day. Also my 180 day is on a Saturday and I am concerned will my IPO even be working that day or they may be understaffed since it is a weekend. Advice please!!!

I just don't understand why you would let someone else book your ADR's, unless you were really busy. Everyone has the same access to the reservation system, and if your a serial reservation changer (like me), it's so much easier and faster to log on and change the ADR than e-mail the IPO and wait for a response.

I'm putting my trust in GF IPO to make all my ressies. Part of booking CL is to destress my planning. If they don't get the times I want or if I change my mind on a restaurant, I'll most likely email IPO for the change.

I think I am going to book my ADR's myself because I would stress more by leaving them in the hands of another person. I am a control freak and a constant planner. I have had my ADR's picked out since last September. If I am unable to get the times and days I want I will then let my IPO keep trying to get the one(s) I want. I will also use my IPO for changes and to confirm everything before arrival. Since my 180 day is on a Saturday I can get up early book our ADR's then go back to bed and be able to rest well. I think if I put my ADR's in the hands of my IPO I will stess until I receive an email.

I stressed at first this for trip (our first CL I was as worried for some reason). AKL IPO had my ADRs made and sent me my itinerary by 8am on my 180 day. Why would I get up at 6am (3am for west coasters!) to book ADRs that IPO will make for me. They got me everything I wanted at pretty much the exact time I wanted. I just had to tweak on reseveration which I did that night in like 2 minutes.

I got a response from IPO, so I'm happy. I'll call them in a couple of weeks to see if they made my ADRs if they don't email me first.

And ... That's it. I'm done with my planning! :cheer2: Our strategy is to hit the parks in the morning, have a TS lunch (thus the ADR planning), and wing the afternoons (i.e., loaf and lounge around). Compared to our previous vacations, this is going to be bliss! Unless my planning OCD bites me and I feel the need to make a daily itinerary. :rotfl:

Must ... resist ... overplanning!

OK. Next question!

What type of gifts do you give the CL staff? I want to bring something for the staff for our upcoming split stay, but don't know what to bring. I'd like to do something unusual, and not the usual run-of-the-mill fruit baskets, KWIM?

Any ideas? :goodvibes

Karen

:thumbsup2 Good for you -- that's what I've done for the past few trips and it's worked out wonderfully! I find that a big part of why CL is worth the $$$ to me is the fact that the IPO does some of the stressful planning for me! I hope it helps you to relax, too!;)

 Yay! Hope you can relax and take it easy! We pretty much plan our days the way you are doing -- early to the parks, restful TS lunch, then rest in the afternoons. It's worked out great for us!

I'm trying to figure out the same thing!:rotfl:

Why? :rotfl: Because I used to have to wake up at 4am to get breakfast at the castle and now I don't. And because I am paying for the service. And because there's never been an ADR that the IPO office couldn't get for me.

It's fine if you want to make your own ADRs, but part of the reason I'm willing to pay the $$$ to stay CL is actually because of the services that the IPOs provide me.;)

I guess I just don't ever go during a time of year where you would need anywhere near 180 days for any res, including CRT. More like a week or two.
