Now I'm wondering if since I can't get MKV at CR maybe I should go with BWI as I've always wanted to try their CL. The deluxe room at BWI is only about $100 more than BLV at CR but I should probably just book the standard room. UGGGG too many choices!!! Maybe I should switch back to Pop! Can't wait to have some time this weekend to read more about BWI CL. I know lots of folks really love it there!!!

OH MY!!! :goodvibes Don't even get me started on that!!! :rotfl: Boardwalk is another resort I have been eyeing and quite interested in....but alas....the reason I switched back to AKL CL was to save some money off of what BC CL was going to cost us.
Marie :flower3:

BWI Cl was my first CL experience and it sold me on staying CL. The lounge was large and well appointed, the food was delicious, and the staff couldn't have been nicer!

I know that's not helping matters - but it really was a fantastic experience. :goodvibes

Is milk available in the RPC lounge? I'm wondering if I'll have to buy it from the store or would I be able to get milk for my nephew to have with a snack from the lounge?
I've only been to AKL & Poly. At AKL there were small cartons of whole, low fat and fat free milk along with small bottles of chocolate milk in the cooler all day long. At Poly in the morning you could pour your own milk from large servers. If you wanted chocolate milk or white milk later in the day you had to ask the staff for it and they would get the small cartons or bottles for you.

:laughing:Yesterday I was all set on booking BWI CL. Then this morning I was thinking about BC CL-I know DS would love the pool. Now I'm leaning toward BWI CL again as it gets such great reviews.

SO...if I go for BWI CL would I be crazy to book a deluxe room to be guaranteed the boardwalk view? It is just DS(9) & I most nights. My friend from Jacksonville and her DD(10) will join us on the weekend. My DS is my early riser and not a night owl. I thought it would be fun for me to have a nice view. It is my birthday after all.:rotfl:

I made my reservation for the Poly CL on Jan. 1st. Our trip isn't until Sept. and my window for our ADRs don't open until March 16.
I have not heard from the Itinerary Planners at the resort.
Am I already getting off to a bad start with them? Are they supposed to contact you as soon as your deposit is paid? How long should I wait to contact them? I am planning on having them make all of our ADRs.
This is the first time we've stayed CL. I'm wondering why I wasn't contacted.
:confused3

Don't take it personally -- I think the majority of us are never contacted. But once we send the email to IPO, I think most of us have found we hear back within a day and we get great service! :thumbsup2 Send them an email - put your Reservation # and dates in the Subject. Introduce yourself and let them know that you would like them to make all your ADRs. If any require a CC for guarantee or pre-payment, make sure you exchange that information over the phone -- don't email the CC # to them.

The email addresses and phone numbers are on page 1 of this thread. Let us know if you have any other questions. :)

Thanks for the info! I'll call them tomorrow. I just don't want to be a pest since it's so far away! :thumbsup2

You're not being a pest. RachelTori is completely right -- you should call or email them to introduce yourself. While they are supposed to make first contact, it's not always possible for them to -- but once they know who you are they are great!:thumbsup2

I agree with mmmears and RachelTori. I contacted the GF IPO and they got back to me quickly and have been very helpful.

Poly CL is fantastic. You're going to have a great trip!

I never wait for IPO to contact me.

On our last trip, the very nice parking attendant gave us our parking permit with a CL "C" on it and welcomed us as concierge guest. How nice - especially when we reserved a discounted garden. They put us into the Hawaii CL! :woohoo: Not quite like Ferris Bueller driving a Ferrari California, but a magic moment.

The Poly CL really is fantastic. Enjoy!

That's a great surprise! The Poly is such a great resort and CL just makes it even better

Hello! Last year I stayed at the Poly GVCL and we absolutely loved it! We booked another trip for July with a standard gv and a few days ago decided to upgrade to GVCL! Our last stay spoiled us so much and I know we would of been regretting not staying CL.
Anyway, I just read this thread and I was wondering if they took away the cinnamon rolls??? Those were my favorite and will be so sad if they dont have them anymore!

We upgraded to Polynesian GV CL for Easter break. :dance3::yay:

We have been to CL before at the BWI & BC both were awesome but never at the Poly.

I called and booked the standard BWI CL room today.:cool1: I'm sure DS & I will love it!!!
You will LOVE BWI CL. The lounge is big, the food is yummy, & you can watch Illuminations from the CL balcony. There are so many little desserts at the end of the night you won't know what to choose!:cloud9:

You will LOVE Poly!:woohoo: I just love the convenience of that location. Love that when I book CL I know what building I'm in. You'll have to try the adult punch they have in the afternoons at CL. I was too busy drinking beer to try it.:drinking1

I'll have to try them all. Glad I dropped the DxDDP.

Congrats! It really is a wonderful experiance there! When I contacted IPO about my plans I mentioned that I was hoping for a Boardwalk view - and when we checked in that's what we got. :)

Here's hoping a little bit of pixie dust floats your way!

So how is GF CL at Sugar Loaf? We might switch to that from Poly LV CL due to the cold pools. I'm a huge chicken when it comes to cold water and I really want to swim this trip.

So how is it there? :)

We stayed CL at Poly last Spring and we just got back from Sugar Loaf so I'll try to compare them for you. In terms of the food offerings -- I preferred the breakfast selections at SL (the pecan sticky buns were so good) and there's afternoon tea at SL, which was very nice and they don't have that at Poly. In terms of evening offerings, we much preferred Poly's evening offerings. The spread at SL looked very pretty but the offerings weren't very flavorful, at least what I tried. I also liked the evening desserts at Poly better.

In terms of the staff, I got a much warmer vibe from the staff in Hawaii than Sugar Loaf. The CMs at Hawaii were often standing up in the lobby to greet people coming back into the building (if they weren't sitting at the desk helping someone). At SL (and part of this is the design of the lounge and where the CMs desks are) no one ever greeted us. They always seemed to be staring down at their computer screens--even when we walked directly by them they didn't make eye contact. It's all a personal preferance -- I liked getting a friendly "Aloha" or "How was your day?" when coming back "home."

Hope that helps a bit! Enjoy.

Thanks! That does help a lot. :)

I think I might just skip both of them and go back to BWI. :)

I found nothing to complain about there, and loved all of the offerings. Plus I'm allergic to tree nuts so the pecan sticky buns are out! :goodvibes
