Kaffinito,
You'll actually receive a special Parking Pass for your vehicle upon arrival @ the security gate. The pass in your window will inform valet staff as you drive up that you're staying CL and the "treatment" will commence....
I understand. That's our problem as well (not enough time). You're right, if you want the DDP, then you'd have to buy a ticket with each 1/2 and that would not be cost-effective.
Yes, they sell noodles at the BC, at the little "shack" right out by the pool. Really convenient. They also rent tubes, but it costs less to buy a noodle! It was just a few dollars when we bought one this past summer (can't remember exactly, but not expensive).
I ran the numbers again last night, every angle....read every review....and then did the UNTHINKABLE....What I swore I'd never do again....I decided to go with the $750.00 savings and CHANGE my ressie to Club Level at our tried/true and loved AKL

My son still really wanted to stay AKL, he could care less about the pool/dining options/ all the arguments I gave for BC. He wanted to go back to his favourite resort...as he said "I know AKL like the back of my hand" and I love it!
So...with that said, I am under the influence of my 3rd resort change thus far...first from CSR then BC now back to our family fav AKL....At least I am saving a big chunk of money, and hopefully more if free dining comes out! It may even be worth it to do Deluxe dining with our AKL club level if I can add it on with the free dining promo....just for the flexibility and ease of eating wherever we desire/not thinking of anything. It would still come out cheaper than what I was going to pay to stay BC CL.... It's a thought!
Now....what's left to do??? Change my countdown ticker YET AGAIN!!!when I have a free miniute, and HOPE I don't have to change it again btwn now and August!!!!

I'm just back from AKL CL too. LOVED it!!! I found the bus service very good. We nearly always left the resort early to be at the parks before opening. We didn't stay for any park closings. We never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus and always had a seat. Thanks so much for your review...sounds perfect. Can i ask how was the bus service? I had no complaints when we stayed there in 07 but i have been reading alot of complaints lately.
thanks
Thanks so much for your "bringing me down to Earth" advice!!I definitely agree that Deluxe Dining Plan is an awful lot of food!! I think I would rather save the time and calories and splurge on Club Level. I needed someone to remind me of that! I called tonight to upgrade our ressie to Club level at BC....now I need to be happy with the change and leave it alone! Sad thing is....AKL Club level is $700.00 cheaper and now I am thinking for the money savings, maybe I should just stay with our loved, tried and true!!!
ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH why does it have to be so hard, I swear I must have an addiction to resort/ressie changing! ai, ai ai

Don't forget in that little loft on the 3rd floor is another TV, a couch, a single chair and a private bathroom. So it's good for those that might not want to eat in the main area or their room. All of the food and most of the chairs and tables are on the 2nd floor. There is a little loft with seating on the 3rd floor, but no food or drinks are up there, and there's not much to do up there. For convenience, you may actually want to be on the 2nd floor...it would be alot less up and down in the elevator for your DN. But remember that those rooms don't have a balcony... The concierge staff and desks are underneath the lounge on the 1st floor.
Yes, if you tell the bellman that you are club level they will take you and all your luggage in a golf cary to the Hawaii building. Our bellman went the "long way" and gave us a little mini-tour of the Poly on the way.
Hope this helps...![]()
What is the best time to go to the lounge if you want a good view of the Fireworks?
I'm going with my DS(9) in May for my birthday. I originally had Pop booked with DxDDP but recently changed to CR tower MK view with DxDDP. DS really enjoys the signature dining experience so I figured why not try it while he's still a "child". Now I'm wondering if I should just change to CR CL. We stayed there for 3 nights once and really enjoyed it. With a quick check online it doesn't look like MK CL is available. What to do?????

chimo2u-I think I'm suffering from your resort change syndrome today.I checked to see what CL rooms I could book with the 45% off AP rate for my dates and I could get BC standard view, BWI standard or deluxe, Poly TPV, GF RPC, or CR BLV. Now I'm wondering if since I can't get MKV at CR maybe I should go with BWI as I've always wanted to try their CL. The deluxe room at BWI is only about $100 more than BLV at CR but I should probably just book the standard room. UGGGG too many choices!!! Maybe I should switch back to Pop!
Can't wait to have some time this weekend to read more about BWI CL. I know lots of folks really love it there!!!
Is milk available in the RPC lounge? I'm wondering if I'll have to buy it from the store or would I be able to get milk for my nephew to have with a snack from the lounge?
Yes, there was milk there at breakfast. I don't remember about the other times of the day, but since they have it in the morning I think it's an easy request if there is none in the case. You shouldn't have to buy it if you're staying CL.![]()
They should have milk out with the coffee they serve, so you can always poor it into a coup and then take it back to your room to keep in your fridge. Now if they don't have it out I am sure a Cast Member can get you some from their storage room.Is milk available in the RPC lounge? On our recent visit we went to the lounge one night about 20 minutes before the fireworks. We found that one woman had lined up chairs along the whole width of the window where there was space between the sofas at either side, almost right up to the window, and was insisting to her family that they must sit on them and watch the fireworks. The children didn't seem in the least bit interested, only reluctantly went to sit down, then didn't stay for long. A couple of adults in the party did sit on the chairs but spent the time talking to one another or getting up and down trying to persuade the children to sit in the chairs. Not only could no-one else have a chance of the best view, but the view we did have was spoiled by these adults constantly moving about.
Another night a group of people took up over half the window space but didn't even look out towards the fireworks, they were too busy trying to loudly impress each other with business stories. The other part of the window space was taken up by one man, supposedly holding the area for his family, who again took no notice of the fireworks but spent the whole time talking on his cell phone.
On both nights, the people in the lounge were so noisy we couldn't hear the piped in Wishes music.
After this we gave up on the lounge and went outside to watch the fireworks.
During all of my families Club Level stays at the Contemporary there are always some people that leave their dirty plates on the tables making the Cast Members clean them up. Well whenever I see that happen I think to myself could those people not have walked a few feet and left those dishes on that table with all the other dirty ones? I mean everyone can see that table set up with them just sitting there, plus it's not fair to those wanting that table and being forced to sit there with dirty dishes. Now whenever my family and I are finished eating in the lounge we always clean off our table and put the dishes with all the other dirty ones, so we are doing the right thing and that's others should do.Wow..we are just back & found the people EXTREMELY rude too. We would have gone outside but by the time we would have made it out we'd have missed alot. They were not only loud & obnoxious they we so messy. These people left their dirty plates & cups for the CMs to pick up-spilled things & didn't bother telling anyone-like I mentioned in a previous post some think thay are privledged & don't mind letting someone else clean up after them b/c they are paying for it but it really doesn't hurt to carry your garbage out-there are waste baskets near the exit...AMAZING! And if they want to leave it-they ought to leave a tip to those workers-they bend over backward for people-especially them!!!![]()

We are staying at the Polynesian concierge this summer. I hope we don't encounter rude/inconsiderate guests in the lounge. I fully intend on picking up after myself and our children - and I will certainly explain to my kids how it is important they clean up after themselves. It's just common courtesy, no matter what you're used to.
We have a GV booked, but maybe I'll change to LV or TPV....
